With Marias Pass Scenario Pack 01, you’ll experience realistic and challenging intermodal, freight, unit-train, passenger, local, and switching operations, and you’ll take the throttle of six types of modern diesel locomotives to battle heavy tonnage and daunting mountain grades.

Marias Pass Scenario Pack 01 features the challenges of operating some of the longest and heaviest trains in America. With Marias Pass Scenario Pack 01, you’ll experience:

• Handling massive freights and unit trains, equipped with head-end power and DPUs at mid-train and on the rear, to lift the tonnage over the daunting grades of Marias Pass.
  
• Climbing the scenic and rugged west slope of the Montana Rockies, from Whitefish, Montana to famed Marias Summit, with a heavy auto rack (vehicles) train.
  
• Grinding up the long east slope of the pass, from the high plains at Shelby, Montana to the 5,215-foot-high summit of Marias Pass, with a ponderous grain train bound from the North Dakota plains to Pacific Northwest ports.
  
• Taking the throttle of an Amtrak 50th Anniversary-liveried GE P42DC to usher the Superliner-equipped Empire Builder up and over Marias Pass on a winter morning.
  
• With the help of diesels placed on the head-end, mid-train, and rear, carefully easing an ultra-heavy unit train of crude oil down the steep west slope of Marias Pass.
  
• Hustling a BNSF priority intermodal train bound for the Pacific Northwest along the scenic and remote Flathead River.
  
• Working challenging switching and local duties at and around the busy railroad towns of Shelby and Cut Bank, Montana.
  
• Climbing into the cab and engineer’s seat of BNSF ES44DC, Dash 9-44CW, SD70ACe, SD70MAC, and GP38-2 diesels, as well as Amtrak’s stylish and powerful GE P42DC.
