Why Early Access?

“Beastieball is already an expansive game with a lot to experience, but we want to continue improving and expanding the game with player feedback. We're continuously adding more high quality frame-by-frame animation for existing Beasties, which is time consuming, but can be worked on while we collect feedback on the game experience and story.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect Beastieball to be in Early Access at least until the end of 2025. Beyond that, our plans are still flexible and we don't have a fixed end date planned.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Our aim is to continue adding new Beasties, bosses, story events and characters to the game such that the full release is an even greater experience. We'll also be continuously working on new features and quality of life improvement throughout Early Access using community feedback as guidance. The full release will also add additional language support.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“In the Early Access version of Beastieball, it's already possible to beat the game and reach the end credits. Typical playtimes range from 15 to 25 hours depending on how thoroughly you explore, and there's a wealth of post-game content to explore and enjoy as well; many testers have already poured 100+ hours into the game. There are 100+ Beasties to recruit, sidequests and optional story content, multiple game modes, and online networked PvP.

We are still adding and polishing Beastie animation, so you may find creatures in varying states of completion. Some areas of the game are still being expanded on and may be lacking in visual presentation. You may also find some characters whose friendship can't progress past a certain point yet.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Depending on how long Beastieball is in Early Access and how much the game expands, we may raise the price at some point in the future.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We'll be actively monitoring community activity and feedback to make sure Beastieball is the best game it can be, as we've already done in Playtests pre-release.

There is an in-game feedback form which allows any user to submit bug reports, issues or requests which we will be taking into account. We'll also be monitoring our Discord server (linked in the game client) and Steam forums for issues or feedback. We also collect analytics on game balance and Beastie popularity, which will help us find where we need to make adjustments or how to prioritize Beastie animation.

We'll also be actively adjusting game balance with the intention to make the game fun and fair for a diverse range of playstyles and Beasties even at the highest skill levels in the game.”
