Uncover the mysteries of an alien planet in this open world survival craft game. Gather resources to craft equipment, buildings, and vehicles to understand, outwit and ultimately overpower the mysterious forces that rule a planet where nothing is as it seems.

A NEW WORLD

You are a space explorer, searching for habitable planets where humans can settle. You receive a message from a location that doesn’t exist on any galactic maps. It’s an invitation to a planet that seems too good to be true! As you approach, your ship’s controls are overtaken and you crash land. Can you survive long enough to escape whoever - or whatever - is controlling this place?

SURVIVE AND EXPLORE

Your ship is destroyed – so you’ll have to build a new one if you want to leave. The atmosphere is toxic – this is not the safe place you expected. Craft consumables and upgrade your gear so you can investigate the ancient ruins and crash sites scattered across the planet. Could there be other survivors here? Survival-craft your way to safety, as you learn about new technologies and resources.

INVENT AND BUILD

Necessity is the mother of invention - words that have driven humanity forward throughout time. While player progression is driven by exploration – your creativity and ingenuity as an inventor will unlock upgrades and more complex fragments for building and crafting your creations. Manage and maintain your resources and power networks as you build larger and more meaningful infrastructure projects.

CUSTOM VEHICLES

You must traverse and adapt to multiple biomes, ranging from tranquil glades and rolling hills, to wind-sheared canyons and frigid tundra. Physics and environmental properties all play a role as you fabricate customized vehicles using our in-game vehicle creation workshop.

POWER MANAGEMENT

Unlock alien technologies to build heavy machinery and robot mules that make resource gathering easier. But machines need power! Manage energy storage and generation to keep everything up and running. Enjoy sandbox-style gameplay or focus on the campaign… just remember to keep the lights on. 

FEAR THE NIGHT

Strange predators and unusual entities are more active during the night. Strategically place floodlights and other defenses around your base to avoid the curious creatures and aggressive predators that lurk in the darkness. 

UNRAVEL THE MYSTERY

Can you uncover the unknown forces that power the planet? Will you escape from its clutches? Why did it draw you here in the first place? The closer you get to solving the mystery, the more unpredictable this planet – and the signal source you are chasing – becomes. 

ABOUT GOOSE BYTE

We’re a small team that’s committed to creating worlds and memorable experiences for players. Our studio was founded in Montreal, Canada in September 2021 and became fully independent in July 2023. The Signal is the first game we are making together as a team and we look forward to sharing this sci-fi journey with you.
