„The core game loop might be fairly enjoyable already! And I'd be grateful for feedback.“

Wie lange wird dieses Spiel ungefähr den Early Access-Status haben?

„The game has a history of 10+ years, so I am only counting in decades! :) I expect it to be in Early Access for 2-3 years or more, depending on the reception and my time budget.“

Wie soll sich die Vollversion von der Early Access-Version unterscheiden?

„More content, more creative options, and I have tons of ideas for the community features, like easter egg hunting in other player's aquariums (find the fish!). I would like to build a small community within the game where you can come over once in a while, watch other player's creations, spread love, shoot fish! <3“

Was ist der derzeitige Stand der Early Access-Version?

„Working currently is the basic game loop of photo challenges, unlocking items and aquarium editing, along with Steam cloud and the option to visit other players. Please watch the gameplay video to get an impression.
Content added so far: 20+ fishes, 30+ plants, 100+ rocks, wood and deco items“

Wird dieses Spiel während und nach Early Access unterschiedlich viel kosten?

„I plan to gradually increase the price while I add more content. I expect the price to at least double when out of Early Access.“

Wie werden Sie versuchen die Community in den Entwicklungsprozess miteinzubeziehen?

„I am grateful for feedback and suggestions! Especially when playing with your kids, they seem to enjoy this alot and I try to get any frustration out of the way. Depending on the player feedback I can put more time on the community side, or fish AI, or aquascaping.“

Hello and Welcome!

Snapshot Aquarium is an aquarium simulator / shooter hybrid where you unlock new content by taking pictures of fish.

Features implemented so far:


Photo Shooting Mechanic
  • Gamepad or Keyboard & Mouse (lefty and righty)

Arcade-style Photo Challenges
  • easy: non-frustrating for kids, with auto-aim and auto-focus
  • regular: manual aiming, auto-focus
  • hardcore: manual aiming, manual focus

Aquarium Editing
  • as seen in the gameplay video
  • more than 200 items are included already

Basic Fish AI
  • schooling, fleeing, feeding, growing in near-realtime
  • aggressive fish attack others

Online Community
  • visit the aquariums of other players, and get visited!
