Why Early Access?

“We are launching in early access because we know how essential user experience and feedback are in game development. The game is simply not finished, and we still have a lot of different plans we want to implement in Surrounded, and we thought the best way to do that is to hear feedback from the community.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We want to make Surrounded as good, scary & flawless as possible. Because of that, it's hard to estimate how long exactly we will be in Early Access, however, a non-accurate estimation would be 6-8 months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“In the current state of Surrounded, we have the main location called Echofield, which features over 50 unique buildings to explore. We plan to expand this in the future, which would result in more diversity, a Chapter 2, more content, etc. More unique factors such as a skill tree, competitive leveling system, better & improved AI's, more custom enemies, and more replayability are also the plan for the future of Surrounded.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“We have implemented a lot of our unique functions. The game is in early access since we have a lot more content such as a whole new Chapter 2, however, Chapter 1's core storyline is finished and ready to be played. Our main aspect, which is sound design & keeping yourself quiet is fully in.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We've planned to raise the price to 14.99$ / 14.99€ / £13.99 when we leave early access. This is with a lot more content planned, such as Chapter 2, more AI's, every single mechanic, etc.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

➢ Raise the stakes in the replayable gamemode “Hunted” with up to 4 players. Infuse syringes with the black matter that has infested the asylum and banish the monster roaming these long forgotten halls…

30 years ago, a remote laboratory researching black matter and dark energy had a complete system meltdown, causing it, and the surrounding forest & village to become affected. Back then the government sent in agents to survey the destruction and to check for survivors. They were never seen or heard from again. Eventually the government sent agents to contain any possible infection, sealing off the area and warning any remaining residents to never enter this place.

Today, 30 years later, you and your friends heard rumors of monsters roaming these woods. Rumors of shadows lurking in the woods, of eerie sounds coming from the ground… But you, my friend, are facing that danger with your friends, head on. Go my friend, prove that you are in fact, not Surrounded by monsters lurking in the dark.
