Why Early Access?

“I'm convinced I've made a game you'll want to play. A game that should have existed a long time ago. A game that needs to be fine-tuned. And since I'm working alone on this project, early access is perfect for Fortune Avenue.

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Fortune Avenue will be released from Early Access in a maximum of 2 years. It's not a race, and the planned features will take me about 2 years to implement. Even though there's an investor behind the development of Fortune Avenue, I have no pressure on my shoulders and can take the time needed for its development.
I have a great opportunity to make this game as good as it can be. I hope that the accumulation of patch notes will testify to my continuing efforts to develop the game at a reasonable pace, while adding interesting new features.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Fortune Avenue's first version includes a 4-player multiplayer mode. It's possible to customize your character. Eventually, the game will include several features such as:

• The ability to create customized games (2 or 3 players with customized rules).
  
• Have non-human players (computers as competitors)
  
• More avatar customization
  
• Controller support
  
• Workshop support
  
• Better multiplayer management (in case of network problems, for example)

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Fortune Avenue lets you play online via the Steam network with up to 4 players. You can invite friends and/or play with strangers. The game's physics are already present, but there are no non-human players yet. A scoreboard is available. You can play a full game, but some features are missing.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price of the game will change. For the moment, the game is less expensive because it's not yet complete, and it's also a way for me to thank you. When the game is released, the price will increase.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The community plays a huge role in the development of Fortune Avenue. I constantly read feedback, take on suggestions, and I often reconsider my stance on certain features. The development process is a big part of the product, which I believe is the way Early Access is supposed to be. It is important to note that as one developer, there are limits to the amount of feedback I can physically absorb, while still finishing the game and making sure I don’t pass out in front of my computer.”
