What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Game still needs more love and polishing, thats main reason why it is in the early access stage, some bugs may still appear here and there. Game is so far playable and includes all mechanics shown in trailer. I believe that players can bring even more ideas in which way Scrapvival could go. In the very future updates there is vending machines along with coins coming to bring more mechanics and strategies into the game. Another main reason for it to be in early access is I'm still working out networking and need to do a lot of stress testing to see if multiplayer features implemented right now are stable and functioning.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I see it just for a few months, when more players and streamers stumble upon this game it gets more attention, and I believe the more players the better. Some bugs get discovered and also a lot of ideas may appears as well. Fixing up the bugs is really not that hard given the fact that this game is not that complex so fixing them up only take couple of hours and I'll try to update and fix as much as possible to bring players best experience possible.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“More mechanics, enemies, models and assets will be added for sure, not to mention most of the bugs will be gone fore sure!”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Alpha stage right now, players are now able to create or join lobbies, chatu together start the game, and enjoy all implemented features, like collecting items, fueling generators, starting generators, crafting, fighting off robots and helicopter controls. More features to be implemented in the future like password protected lobbies, more mechanics (vending machines, scrap coins, that can players use to buy melee items) , more robot types, new maps etc.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No, maybe perhaps some custom skins, or workshop content might cost some coins in the future.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“By playing the game of course! Bringing letsplayers and streams from all around the world to play it. New ideas may originate. And more players mean the sooner all the glitches and bugs will be found out and fixed really quickly I believe. Also stress testing the networking features of Scrapvival for example when streamrs start to play with their audience in multiple lobbies simulatenously.”
