You must use your strategic skills to navigate the complex political landscape of the time and make key decisions that will determine the war's outcome.

The game features historically accurate armies and battlefields, as well as a range of different unit types and abilities that players can use to their advantage. You play as either of the major factions of the time, the Holy Roman Empire, or the Swedish Empire, and attempt to lead their forces to victory.

Lead your soldiers in battles, using infantry armed with pikes and muskets, cannons for destroying enemy fortifications and cavalry for chasing down retreating enemy troops.

Organize your armies with different units, each with its own strengths and weaknesses. Units cost gold to hire, consumes food regularly. You must live off the land and maintain ample stores of supply for your army.
