Miksi Early Access?

We believe the best games are built alongside their players. Early Access allows us to expand, refine, and enhance the game based on real feedback from the community. This phase gives us the opportunity to collaborate with players, improve gameplay balance, and introduce new ideas that will shape The Last Caretaker into the best version possible.

Miten kauan peli tulee arviolta olemaan Early Access -vaiheessa?

We plan to stay in Early Access for at least 12 months. The timeline will depend on development progress and player feedback. Our priority is to build a polished and immersive experience, and we’ll take the time needed to ensure it reaches its full potential.

The core mechanics and structure are already in place, but Early Access will help refine and expand the game. With player feedback, we plan to:

Expand gameplay systems (exploration, crafting, survival, combat)
Introduce new content (locations, enemy types, modules)
Balance and optimize core mechanics based on community insights.

The Early Access version already offers a fully playable survival experience with a strong foundation. Players can explore, craft, fight, and progress through the game’s world.

Key Features at Early Access Launch

Dynamic Resource Management: Your resources are your means of survival. Make choices between crafting weapons for offense or saving your materials for an easy exit from fearsome mechanical foes.
Immersive Worldbuilding: Explore a vast ocean world filled with abandoned structures, mysterious laboratories, and humanity’s last remaining harbours
Crafting & Recycling: The world is your salvage yard. Dismantle abandoned structures, tear down machinery, and decide what is worth carrying to the recycler to craft weapons, power grids, and tools in a dynamic and deep crafting system.

While the core mechanics are solid, we’re also testing potential new features that could shape the game’s evolution. We’re eager to see how players engage with the world and adjust our roadmap accordingly.

As we add new content and features, we may increase the price after Early Access.

Care for and grow human seeds within the Lazarus Complex, managing crucial systems like incubation temperature, nutrient flow, and memory data integration. Unlock advanced biopods and synthetic caretakers to accelerate development and ensure successful revival. Discover emotional imprints and past memories encoded in each seed, piecing together lost human stories as you bring life back into the world.

PROTECT HUMANS

Defend the Lazarus Complex from rogue machines and environmental threats. Build automated defenses, upgrade your mobile platform, and deploy countermeasures during storms and system breaches. Safeguard the vulnerable human seeds and ensure the sanctuary remains operational while under siege. Strategic choices in protection systems can determine the fate of the last generation of humans.

LAUNCH ROCKETS INTO ORBIT

Restore and reactivate the ancient MOSES launch infrastructure to send reborn humans beyond the drowning world. Scavenge for launch codes, refine fuel, and rebuild navigation AI systems to ensure mission success. Each launch is a calculated risk—but a necessary one to preserve the species.
