Why Early Access?

“Fleshgait is planned to contain multiple full-length campaigns. We would like the opportunity to get community feedback as we finalize all campaigns of Fleshgait.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We originally estimated 3-4 months of development to finish Fleshgait. The game has grown in scope and complexity, as well as many new surprise issues, bugs, and complications we've had to address. If all goes as planned, we hope for a complete release in Spring 2023.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“While Fleshgait is in Early Access, the first full length campaign featuring Orion is available. We plan for the game's second full length campaign to be releasing shortly after, starring Clay. We have plans for an inter-changeable campaign system, which players will be able to select which Character they start the A scenario with, after it's completion scenario B will be playable with the other character. A hardcore mode with limited resources is a planned addition for each campaign.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Early Access will feature the entire length of Orion's A campaign. The A campaign is complete minus a few cosmetic details and game notes which will be added in days of release.

About This Game

At 12:03 AM, September 16th, Damien Mara mysteriously vanished on a camping trip. At 10:00 AM on October 1st, the search for Damien was officially called off with no evidence found.

Fleshgait is a modern take on the classic survival horror formula. Explore the Sullivan Estate with dynamic gameplay elements such as shifting pathlines, randomized enemy encounters, and item placements.

About Fleshgait:

Play the game with fixed camera angles/panning cameras or at any time switch to a modern over-the-shoulder 3rd person perspective. Puzzle and item placement dynamically shift, so each playthrough is slightly different. The game's event system randomly places jump scares based on the player's progression.

The game has been built with as little menu interaction as possible. All inventory items are stored directly on the player's item belt, or held in the player character's hand. There are no in-game menu interactions (except for the map menu for player convenience). All discoverable notes are held directly in the player character's hand. While exploring environments and inspecting items, the player character will vocalize a description.

Experience many evolving enemy varieties:

The "Stigmatized" are zombie-like enemies. Damaging "Stigmatized" with conventional weaponry can put them in a temporary dormant state, but eventually, they will reactive and mutate depending on the damage dealt to them.

The hive of "Fractal" enemies are a constantly evolving chain of worm-like organisms. If not dealt with properly, these enemies can spread, transform, and multiply.

The mysterious entity some have referred to in folklore as the "Fleshgait". This unpredictable enemy cannot be killed and contains many surprises for players.

Evolving pathlines:

Depending on the player's story pathline many different side characters can be encountered. These character interactions can completely alter the potential endings of the game.

The fate of NPC encounters is decided by the player's decisions and actions.
