Why Early Access?

“Early Access lets us adjust the game ahead of launch based on valuable player feedback. No plan remains unchanged when faced with reality, the same is true for games. We want a chance to see how you, the player, interact with the game, what you like and want more of, as well as what you think we need to improve.

Specifically we will be looking for any issues that we haven’t caught (we’re a small team and need your help), as well as getting the balance right - something that needs more players and playtime than we can manage on our own!”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The goal for our Early Access period is 3-4 months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We hope that the version in Early Access will be a good and accurate representation of the final product. The main difference will be in the areas where players identify issues or areas of improvement.

The reason we feel comfortable with a shorter Early Access is because of the focus on fixing any issues and improving balance (as well as smaller improvements) as opposed to major content or feature changes.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“All the features of The Tribe Must Survive described in the About section are present at the launch of the Early Access version, excluding one of the three religions. There may be bugs, the game may not run perfectly smooth on all target hardware, and the game may not be perfectly balanced.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We will have a lower price during early access since we want to reward those who join us early and help make the best version of the game! The price will increase ahead of the 1.0 update.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Early Access is more than just a phase for "The Tribe Must Survive”. The aim is to foster a collaborative partnership between players and the developers at Walking Tree Games. With the valuable feedback from the community on gameplay mechanics and balance, as well as other improvements, this will contribute to the best possible version of the game for its final release - which is the top priority!
