Your tower is falling apart and your staff came from the classified ads. Build the rooms, take in the guests, then hire the people to keep it standing. Send the plumber to the burst pipe, not the front desk. Put the wrong worker on the wrong job and you'll watch your guests walk out.

About This Game

Send the wrong worker and watch it all go wrong.

Build a tower. Fill it with guests. Hire the people who keep it standing and find out what happens when you put a builder on the reception desk.

TWO WAYS TO PLAY

Scenarios - You're handed a building in a state. Fix it, clean it, get it fit to open, then keep it running once the doors are unlocked and the guests are real.

Sandbox - Empty lot, no deadline, no one telling you what to build. Go as far up as you can afford.

HIRE FROM THE PAPER

Staff comes from the classifieds, and every one of them has skills they're good at and skills they aren't. The ad won't always tell you which is which.

ASSIGN CAREFULLY

Anyone can be put on any job. That doesn't mean they should be. A worker with no repair skill will take longer on the pipe and might fail outright. A builder at reception can't handle people. The queue grows, and guests leave before they ever check in.

THEN IT BREAKS

Pipes burst. Power fails. Things wear out on their own schedule and never one at a time. When three problems land at once and you have two people free, you find out what you're willing to let fail.

THE BREAK ROOM

When there's nothing to fix, your staff go and sit down. Watching them in there while the building falls apart around them is its own kind of feedback.

MIND THE MONEY

Electricity costs. Repairs cost. Wages cost. Rents have to cover all of it, and a room priced too high is a room nobody's in.
