What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Airflow will continue to grow with several features such as voice recognition on the horizon, but the core game is finished and ready to play! Early access gives players the chance to experience Airflow, provide feedback on its current state, and influence development by letting us know which new features sound most interesting and should be prioritized for future releases.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Airflow will be in early access until development of secondary features such as voice recognition and career mode are completed. Development could take approximately six months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Voice recognition is a key feature that is planned for the full version of Airflow. New regions will also periodically be released so that by the time the full version is ready, a large set of regions will be available. Most importantly, the idea of Airflow is to be a multiplayer, collaborative game. The goal is to enable split-positions and neighboring positions that resembles a real team of air traffic controllers coordinating to tackle the busiest airspaces in the world.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Airflow is currently a single-player, approach control simulator available at Seattle ARTCC. The in-game tutorial teaches players to control regardless of their experience with aviation. And the leaderboards and achievements provide a sense of accomplishment and competition to master the airspaces.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, early access will give players access to Airflow at a lower price than the full version.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Playtests will continue to give players access to new features throughout early access. Community input through Steam discussions, social media, and feedback forms has been and will continue to be critical in the development process and is how we will make Airflow one of the best air traffic control simulators available.”

Realistic

Learn authentic air traffic control procedures and radio phraseology on radar scopes based on real systems. Each region features accurate navigation data, maps, and procedures with flights based on actual airline destinations.

Autonomous
