Why Early Access?

“This game is a passion project of mine that I have been working on since late 2018. I want to be able to get it into the hands of people who want to see it grow and become a finalized game experience. I am currently doing this all as a side-project on top of a full-time job, so early access is the only way that I see that makes sense to get the ball rolling! There is a decent road ahead, but I have every intention of making this musical sandbox game the best it can be!”

“1 - 2 years”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of Mix Universe will be a much more polished experience and come along with a larger range of content and modifications.

I will be looking to add or improve in these areas.
- A much better note editing experience that can be used by people who have 0 musical background to create something that sounds great!
- Upgraded save system so that mixes can be shared more easily on social medias.
- Finishing out "Play Mode" and "Create Mode" separately for a much more fluid experience for those who just want to play other people's mixes.
- More environments
- Larger sound libraries
- Explore mode
- Tons of bug fixing. A game like this has plenty of little UI/UX bugs that all need to be tracked down and fixed.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“First Playable with emphasis on Audio and Visuals (Less Content). There are still features that aren't completely implemented yet but the core editing interface is working along with the ability to share what you create on the workshop!”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“After early access, it is likely that the price will remain the same or go up slightly. This is all dependent on how the rest of the game is monetized.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The community is able to submit bugs and feedback requests through discord and/or a feedback form on the website. Since this game's content and longevity will ultimately be decided by the strength of it's community, the best way to improve the game is to charge head first into what is working right and try to listen and respond to what is NOT working right.”
