What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Deepening Fire has relatively large levels and monster settings, equipment systems, etc., and the difficulty of the game also needs to be gradual. Because it is a one-person independent development team, there are relatively big challenges. Therefore, it needs the feedback of players, constantly collects players' opinions, adjusts the values, levels, monster difficulty, improves the game experience, and makes the game better, so the game is launched in Early Access mode.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Early Access status is expected to last for 6~12 months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Compared to the Early Access version, We plan to have more levels, monsters, equipment, maps, etc., as well as a richer and more complete story. We also plan to improve the game experience, such as game feel, numerical balance and level setting.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Early Access will include the following:
• Multiple scene adventures with different subject styles
• Complete main story flow and main story
• Custom roles
• Has rich hidden content
• Dozens of freely matchable weapons, armor and skills
• Plenty of monsters and nearly 20 powerful personality bosses”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“After Early Access, the price is expected to increase somewhat as new content is added to the game.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We will regularly invite players to ask questions and suggestions in the community, adjust the game and add new content based on these suggestions, so that everyone who likes the game can participate in the production of the game. In addition, we will also collect feedbacks from players on multiple platforms such as discord,youtube and Steam community to optimize the game.”

After two and a half years, my game "Deepening Fire" will finally release on Steam on November 30th! "Deepening Fire" is a kind of 2D Soulslike game developed all by myself. It is characterized by its original "parrying skills" and I think it is definitely suitable for all kinds of darksouls gamer(like ACT). The EA version contains 20+ bosses, 10+ huge maps, 2 endings, free character-customization mechanism, 100+ wearable weapons and equipment, 25000 words of fragmented narratives, 54 game achievements, and lots of hidden secrets. Without any random maps, repetitive scenarios, or boring leveling processes, I believe you will replay the game for multiple times and gain brilliant game experience. "Deepening Fire" will release the preemptive version on Steam on November 30. The first playthrough may take you about 20 hours, while full-collection usually exceeds 30 hours. Currently, this game supports Chinese & English, and other languages will continue to be added. This work has been polished for a long time, and the game feel is optimized almost every month. Now I am full of confidence in its action core, and I prepared lots of mechanisms (such as no-damge, speedrun, leveling points, etc.) helping you pass this game. P.S. The cover of the game is the first time I have taken drawing seriously in these two years. Hope you enjoy this game LOL!

Broken World

Homes are broken, kingdoms wither away, and revived soldiers look for everything in the ruins. Everything has changed.
King Gillan is in the Hymn when monsters are wandering on the old battlefield;
Knight is kind and blessed. The human-eating tree is surrounded by mosquitoes and flies;
Mountain Warrior is legendary and powerful. The immortal skeleton is crying.
……
What's wrong with all this?

Death and rebirth

The order has never been so fragile. Time and space have been distorted when everything was in chaos.
Death has never been so cheap. Since the balance was off, the fire of life could not be dissipated.
Fighting has never been so difficult. It's a long journey for one to challenge the world.
Again and again.
