“Vahnora is an ambitious, handcrafted MMORPG being developed by a solo creator. Because the game is built on an 'anti-tutorial' philosophy that relies heavily on organic exploration and environmental cues, player feedback is the most critical resource we have.

We believe that an MMORPG cannot be balanced in a vacuum. Early Access allows us to:

Refine World Navigation: Ensure that our 'no-GPS' design is challenging but rewarding, adjusting landmarks and map clarity based on real player journeys.

Balance Combat & Economy: Use real-time data from hundreds of players to fine-tune class abilities, drop rates, and the player-driven market of Eldoria.

Scale Infrastructure: Stress-test our seamless open-world servers and multiplayer systems as the community grows, ensuring a stable experience for the 1.0 launch.

Co-Create the World: Vahnora is a living project. By involving the community early, we can prioritize the features, biomes, and quests that players are most excited to see.

Our goal is to build a world that feels as deep and mysterious as the classic RPGs of the past, and we can only achieve that level of depth by building it alongside our players.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Vahnora is a massive undertaking for a solo developer, and our goal is to ensure every corner of the world feels handcrafted and polished.

We estimate that the game will remain in Early Access for approximately 12 to 18 months.
This timeframe allows us to expand the world map, refine the combat systems, and integrate the full narrative arc based on player feedback.
We aim for a full 1.0 release by mid-to-late 2027, though this may shift slightly as we prioritize quality over speed.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of Vahnora is planned to be a significant expansion of the current experience in terms of scale, narrative depth, and mechanical polish. Our vision for the 1.0 release includes:

World Expansion: We plan to more than double the current world size, introducing diverse new biomes.

Complete Narrative Arc: While the Early Access focuses on sandbox survival and exploration, the full version will feature a complete Main Questline that uncovers the mystery behind the fall of Vahnora.

Advanced Character Customization: We aim to introduce advanced 'Prestige Classes' and specialized crafting professions that are currently locked or in conceptual stages.

Enhanced Visuals & Audio: Every placeholder animation and environmental asset will be replaced with high-fidelity 2D hand-drawn art. We also plan to implement a fully orchestrated dynamic soundtrack.

Territorial Warfare: We intend to roll out a robust Guild vs. Guild (GvG) system, allowing player factions to conquer outposts, build fortified bases, and tax trade routes in contested zones.

Polished UI/UX: A complete overhaul of the current interface is planned to ensure a seamless experience on both high-resolution monitors and portable PC gaming devices.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version of Vahnora is fully playable. It already includes the core MMORPG systems required for a complete experience. Players can currently expect:

Exploration: A seamless open world with no loading screens.

Progression: Leveling and skill systems functional.

Systems: Full multiplayer infrastructure including PvP, arena and rankings.

Combat: Turn based 2D combat against over 20 types of unique creatures.

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No. Vahnora is a Free-to-Play experience and will remain Free-to-Play after its full release. Our goal is to build a massive, accessible community where the world is populated and vibrant.
While we may introduce cosmetic items or convenience features through an in-game shop in the future to support ongoing development, the core game and all future map expansions will remain free for all players to explore. Early Access players will not face any entry costs now or at the 1.0 launch.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The community is the heartbeat of Vahnora’s development. Because this is an 'anti-tutorial' game, player feedback on world navigation and quest clarity is vital to balancing the experience.

We involve our players through:

Active Discord Engagement: Our primary hub for daily discussion, where players can talk directly with the developer, report bugs, and suggest new features.

Steam Community Hub: We monitor the forums daily to gather feedback on class balance and world design.

Polls & Surveys: We frequently run community votes to decide which new regions or creature types should be prioritized in the next update.
