Miksi Early Access?

Development of this game has resumed September 2023, after a halt in January of 2021 and is now a hobby project with a public codebase and changelog. Sales are suspended and it will be given away for free along with updates.

The scope of the game changed from 80+ capturable monsters...to over 135! That means we need more time but even more importantly...

We would like some input on the core gameplay mechanics and extra features. Are these new monsters interesting? Do they add to the story? Is crafting easy and fun to use? What do you feel is missing?

Miten kauan peli tulee arviolta olemaan Early Access -vaiheessa?

Early access will last until all content goals and major bug fixes are completed, and we can agree that a version 1.0 can be issued.

Millä tavoin lopullinen versio tulee eroamaan Early Access -versiosta?

Expect features, monsters, areas, and story to be slowly added over time. Also, the tutorial content will be spread out more than in the demo, to prevent information overload.

The full version of Kin's Chronicle is planned to include 3 Acts taking place in the Present, Past, and Future. There are also plans for an Epilogue to complete the story of Kin and their allies.

The game will be free in Early Access and beyond.

If there is any charged DLC in the future, it will be bonus "making of" content with the intent of supporting post-release updates for everyone. The DLC would not be worked on or made available until v1.0 is released.
