“We enjoy the game in its current state a lot and hope players will too, yet there are many directions in which we could take the game from here, each requiring lots of work.Therefore we are keenly interested in having a conversation with players about what they enjoy the most, be it the single player campaigns in their combinatorics of policies, the fierce competitiveness of multiplayer team or free for all games or grabbing a friend and fighting together to the death against waves of the AI.”

“We have lots of ideas for new buildings, wonders, improvements, milestones, policies and units that we haven’t gotten to test yet. We’ve been considering to add crowns as a currency to be spent on upgrades and diplomacy in between campaign missions. We also know that we want each faction to stand out more and are considering to lend greater importance to their kings and adding unique buildings and improvements to each of them. Campaign design is important to us too and we hope to be able to tell the stories of more kingdoms and in greater detail than we currently do. We are also working on co-op multiplayer against the AI.
If competition is as important as we expect it to be to our players, we will consider adding a more in depth ranking system and to celebrate those ranks in game.”

“The game offers an introduction campaign and an always accessible in-game wiki to learn the basics. Besides that players can jump into the weekly campaign with highscores or have a randomized campaign for a faction of their choosing dynamically generated. In Multiplayer one can compete for a top spot on the leaderboard or play around with the extensive customization options vs bots or other players. The game fully supports gamepad and is playable on Steamdeck and similar devices.

Since turn-based strategy games are quite hard and complex by nature, this game also has a quite steep learning curve for players not used to the genre, but still easier than a lot of the competitors”

“The price is likely to increase after the Early Access period.”

“We invite players to join our Discord server to engage in discussions about game balance and features. Our team brings experience from organizing the community-driven balance mod, “BBG”, for Civ 6 and aims to apply that expertise to Yield to create a collaborative and gratifying environment.”
