Why Early Access?

“This game is some ways away from being finished, but the core gameplay is there enough to be playable and enjoyable.

While the primary development platform is console, the decision to release early on PC has been taken to improve the game through player feedback from players.

Due to the complex nature of the game, player feedback is valuable in tuning the gameplay and scoring, as well as in surfacing bugs and issues.

“1 year estimated”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“In the early access version, online features will be limited to leader boards and only local multiplayer will be available, though compatibility with Steam Remote Play will be included.

The full version of the game is planned to have fully online multiplayer.

The full version is planned to have additional environments and visual customisation compared to only 1 in the current early access version.

3 playable characters are in the early access version. The full version is intended to have more characters unlockable.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“At present, Arcade mode, Battle mode, and Time attack mode are playable. Arcade mode is unfinished but playable. Local multiplayer is included and the game is complete enough for competitive matches.

Tutorial and Puzzle modes are unfinished and not included yet.

Some graphics are final and some are still work-in-progress.

3 Characters are playable.

Tutorial is not yet in place, only a written rules screen, but the game can be figured out intuitively.

Core gameplay is complete but still being tuned and refined.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. Price will be cheaper in early access”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Feedback will gathered be taken on board and used in the development process. The intention in releasing early access is to tune the game through player feedback.

Steam forums will be used, as well as social media though that is not yet in place. It is also possible to contact us directly through our website.”

About This Game

Dice Mice is a fast paced arcade puzzle game inspired by classic 90s gameplay.

Simple in concept but endlessly deep. Choose a mouse, and roll or push dice to match numbers to score combos. Match into your opponents dice to steal them and score massive chains. Play alone, co-op, or battle with friends across several gameplay modes.

Build long combo chains and clear the board as you chase high scores and compete against your friends.

GAME MODES

Arcade Mode (1-2 Players)

Play through increasingly difficult waves, either solo or with a friend. Learn the mechanics, build your, and see how long you can keep the board under control as the difficulty increases.

Battle Mode (Up to 4 Players)

Compete against up to three other players. Gain badges by matching numbers. Steal your opponents badges by stealing their sinking dice.

Score Attack Mode (Up to 4 Players)

A mode focused entirely on scoring. Push the mechanics to their limits, create huge combos, and try to achieve the highest score possible.
