Note: The last update made by the developers was over 5 years ago. The information and timeline described by the developers here may no longer be up to date.
What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“There are so many unexplored questions we have when we do a VR game like what's the best locomotion technique, how long should the game be or do providing DLCs work in VR games and we figured that nothing better than asking our community by letting them experience the game and provide us the valuable feedback in order to make it the best VR experience. We would also like to seek opinion from our community how to best implement a multiplayer version in this.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Couple of months”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We actually updated for free moving in a particular mode.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“All the core features of the game have been finished and implemented. There are three major planets, each with 2-3 subzones are ready with over 10 different enemy types and three major boss fights. Our ballistics are spot on and cover system works perfectly fine. Features and content wise we are 80% there.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“N/A”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We are going to use our Steam community forum and Discord to collect feedback from the community. These are going to be ope communication channel where everybody can get involved in building the best shooter in VR. Of course there are some great ones out there but we'll exist and thrive because of our community. We also have plans to have closed test groups who'll work closely with our devs to ensure that final release is as awesome as we think it will be.”

SGS Coming to Cyberpunk Fest But....

A Note From The Team About Speedy Gun Savage

Hello Survivors,

There is a saying in games that heroes never die.

What people don't often talk about is that sometimes heroes get old. Sometimes they get tired. Sometimes they survive battles that change them forever. And sometimes they simply lay down their weapons and become part of the stories that shaped us.

Speedy Gun Savage is one of those stories.

It's hard to believe that nearly six years have passed since we first launched Speedy Gun Savage into Early Access.

When we began this journey, we had ambitious plans for the game and its future. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic brought unexpected challenges that deeply affected our team and operations especially because of VR devices and that too in India. Like many studios during that period, we lost key team members and were unable to continue development as originally planned.

As a result, Speedy Gun Savage never received the level of support, updates, and content we had envisioned.

Recently, Steam invited the game to participate in Cyberpunk Fest, which gave us an opportunity to revisit this project and make it available once again for players who may have missed it or wish to experience it for the first time.

We want to be completely transparent:

  • There are currently no active development plans for Speedy Gun Savage.

  • We cannot promise future updates, fixes, or new content.

  • At this time, there is no committed roadmap for a full release.

That said, bringing the game back online serves another purpose. We have always wondered what players truly liked, disliked, and wanted from the experience. Even after all these years, community feedback remains incredibly valuable.

While we cannot promise a resurrection of the project, we are interested in hearing your thoughts. If enough interest exists and circumstances align in the future, those insights could help inform any discussions about revisiting the universe of Speedy Gun Savage.

Most importantly, we want to thank everyone who supported us during the game's original Early Access period. Whether you played for ten minutes or hundreds of hours, your support helped an independent studio pursue an ambitious vision during an incredibly challenging time.

Games are often remembered for their successes, but they are also built on experiments, lessons, and communities. Speedy Gun Savage remains an important part of our journey, and we're grateful that you were part of it.

Heroes don't always come back for one last mission. But sometimes they do.

Thank you for your support, your patience, and your feedback.

See you in the wasteland,

The Gamitronics Team

which has a simplicity that works nicely
