Why Early Access?

“Early access gives our development team the opportunity to implement community requests early in development, and gives the community the opportunity to shape the future of content releases to best fit their wants and needs.

As an ancillary application to the main tabletop series of books we want to make the application as robust as possible as an online alternative to real-life play

The main tabletop game is not fully finished and so we want to make sure any changes in the main game can be quickly reflected in the application without the constraints of updating a final product.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Approximately a year after release on steam most features that need to be implemented should be, but we will work on it for as long as it needs to be worked on as the main game is polished.

Once the main ttrpg is finished the steam application's development will be concluded as well.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We aim to provide a fully fleshed out Storyteller mode for the game, with the ability to easily generate stat blocks for: enemies, animals, friendly npcs, and items.

improving game-feel for both the Player and Storyteller is in the docket too, with improved systems for sharing character sheets, easily creating new characters, and a set of pre-built characters available as standard for one-shots and introductory games.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current game includes:

Editable and savable documents for both the Storyteller and Player.
A dice-roller in both documents for rolling during the game.
An audio-player for playing tracks during game-play.
A turntable for looking at the various genotypes during gameplay.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to raise the price as we ship new content and features, as the main tabletop aspect will be free for anyone to experience the steam application will be the main way people who are fans of the project will be able to support our continued development.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“SNS has a thriving community discord which is where most granular updates will be posted, this includes behind the scenes content, and updates on gameplay tweaks for the main tabletop game.”
