About This Game

Hear My Light is a short narrative puzzle-shooter about bringing your brother home through a combat zone contaminated by a biological weapon. He and the enemy forces are blind and catatonic, and they all respond to the sounds of your drones.

At its core, it's a twin-stick shooter — but instead of directly controlling a character, you control the drones your brother (and others) respond to: one to move, and one to aim and shoot. This means staying conscious of at least two things:

• Not getting your aiming drone stuck in the world's structures.

• Where and when to give the signal to shoot — since enemies aim at the same point you do, and fire on the same signal.

Killed enemies rise in anger, trying to kill anyone they can find with their bare hands — at that point, combat becomes more direct and straightforward.

Different enemy types react differently to sound, so you can use different surfaces to muffle your steps for a silent kill, or mask your shots behind loud environmental noise.

Between encounters, you'll explore war-torn environments, solve light puzzles to clear your path, and piece together the story of this world — as your character speaks to her brother, hoping he can still understand her.

P.S. I'm developing this game in my free time while serving as an active member of the armed forces during the war. I hope you'll understand that it may never be released, or that updates may come slowly and unpredictably once it is — my free time isn't stable, and things don't always go as planned. I'll do my best to make it worthwhile, but a lot of things can go wrong.
