What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“To gain community feedback for retail release.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“At least one year.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We emphasize that we PLAN to include three short story games (compared to one, currently available) based on vehicle, third person, and platforming genres, there's no way to know exactly when this project will be finished, that it will be finished at all, or that intended future additions will definitely happen. Our plans include refined options for video quality, audio, and keybinding controls, and once one episode of each story is implemented to satisfaction, Video Realms will be considered complete for retail release.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Video Realms is in a pre-alpha state with one of three short stories released, please refer to the "About This" section of this game to see current implemented features.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“This game is planned to be free forever.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback will be crucial in directing improvements for overall gameplay, quality of life options, extra features, and determining priorities for any extra content. If players enjoy a particular story, more episodes can be implemented. Discussion is preferred on Video Realms' Steam discussion page, or on our listed Twitter account.”

About This Game

Video Realms is a games-in-one collection of short sci-fi stories: Carnage Cross, Sanitize, and Starglades.

The first installment, Carnage Cross, is a vehicular deathmatch game with six playable drivers, eight levels, and an arsenal of weapons, specials, and pickups at your disposal. Play the first episode, "Leo's Report", or select your own driver and map through the Level Select option. Updates for Carnage Cross are planned throughout development.

Starglades is a 2.5D platformer with RPG elements and companion combat. The player must learn new abilities to defend innocent domains from deletion, traveling through dark and whimsical landscapes, solving puzzles, helping others, and overcoming hostile obstacles to reach this goal.

Video Realms' Features and Content to expect thus far:

Playable Carnage Cross: Episode 1, "Leo's Report" - a singleplayer story mode with seven deathmatch levels and six different vehicles to control.
Carnage Cross Level Select Menu: Mix and match drivers and deathmatch stages, includes one extra playable map, Midway.

Playable Starglades: Episode 1, "The Heist" - a singleplayer story mode influenced by the aesthetic of early webcomics, flash games, and RPG concepts, Starglades is suitable for all ages.

Video Realms' Future Expected Content

Playable, singleplayer episodes of Sanitize, a third-person scifi horror game.
