Pourquoi choisir l'accès anticipé ?

« We're a team of two working on VLORP in our spare time. While the game is currently a work in progress, we think we can provide a fun gaming experience and build a community well before the game takes its final shape. We're excited to get this into people's hands and start getting broader feedback as soon as possible. »

« We expect this to take more than a year and will provide more detailed timelines as we progress. »

En quoi la version finale sera-t-elle différente de la version en accès anticipé ?

« The early access version is a multiplayer combat racing game. The main things missing from the early access release are the co-op survival sandbox and ability to save the karts you find to use in multiplayer games and races. In addition to this we plan to add a host of other multiplayer game modes as well as a single player and co-op story mode. »

« In the 'About This Game' section we detail three broad phases of development and where we are in the process. We will keep this section up to date with the current state of them game. »

« We plan to price the game as we see appropriate for the current state of the game at all times. As content is added, we will raise the price to suit until we officially release. »

« We want to hear any and all suggests for making the game better. This is a long term, ongoing project. We hope to use community feedback to improve the game for everyone for years to come.

Vlorp is a multiplayer hoverkart collector combat racing adventure game.

We see the development of this game taking shape in three general phases. Phase one is build a multiplayer combat racing game and release as early access. This is the phase we're currently in. After gathering feedback and improving the game in phase one, we will move on to phase two which will be the adventure and kart collection portion. In this phase we will begin work on a co-op survival sandbox and allow players to save the karts they find and use them when racing their friends. After player testing the survival sandbox mode we will move on to phase three which will be to add a story mode.

As previously mentioned, we are in the first of these three phases. The multiplayer combat racing mode is functional. Players have a multiplayer lobby where they can explore and find karts. They can take the karts they find and use them in races with their friends. Before moving onto phase two we hope to expand on the selection of game modes, maps, powerups, weapons, and types of karts to be found. While we have a lot of the core gameplay mechanics in place we hope to continue to refine the game as a whole with player feedback in this phase.

The game currently has:
  • Fully functional multiplayer
  • 3 hoverkart types used to generate thousands of karts with randomized speed, acceleration, and handling
  • 1 game mode (racing)
  • 6 racetracks
  • 4 powerups/weapons
