How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version should contain:
  • More buildings
  • Teams of 2 or 3 players
  • Ranked matchmaking
  • Improved general balance

And might also contain:
  • Neutral NPC islands that can be raided for resources
  • More attacking units
  • A singleplayer wave-based game mode

“The current version has already seen many iterations and is therefore fully playable and polished.
It contains:
  • The main gameplay loop (harvest/disasters/build/combat phases)
  • A diverse set of buildings
  • 3 ways to achieve victory (accumulate culture, military conquest or build a wonder)
  • Online multiplayer with up to 8 players
  • Only the Free-For-All game mode

“Price will be slightly higher after release to reflect the higher number of features and to reward players that helped develop the game during Early Access.”

“We think that community will be crucial to explore the large set of possible strategies and provide feedbacks about how to balance those strategies while encouraging the most fun ones.
The community will surely also bring new ideas that will enrich the gameplay and/or make it more fun.

About This Game

Dice Kingdoms is a multiplayer turn-based strategy game where each player must develop their island and compete for victory through culture, military conquest or building an expensive wonder.

Build


  • Strategically prioritize what to build
  • Efficiently layout your city, anticipating attacks and diseases while optimizing for space

Harvest


  • Build specialized houses to have more dice
  • Use rerolls to try to get the resources you need the most but risk natural disasters

Combat


  • Automatic battles after choosing targets
  • Pillage of strategic buildings yields many resources
  • Use force to punish greedy development

Disasters


  • Natural disasters are determined by the number of skulls rolled
  • Some natural disasters affect yourself while some affect other players
