What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Scrapping Simulator was in somewhat of a Silent development for over 12 months, using personal funds to purchase certain assets that shaved years off development time, with a few DEMO's being released online with little response, I as a Solo Developer decided to carry on this project as it is not only suppose to be Fun but also Educational - More so there is very little games that touch on this type of style of Dismantling Electronics rather than repairing them, showcasing the Raw Materials that are thoughtlessly thrown into the trash or onto the curb when it is broken or replaced.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Scrapping Simulator will be in Early Access for 2-3 years give or take depending many, many variables. Mainly due to fund limitations and not willing to take on Crowd Funding/Publisher for this project, I would prefer to keep this project mostly Solo Developed as much as possible and when funding is available it will be put toward Contract workers that can do the Monumental tasks of Open World Map Creation, Model/Texture Design, which will help keep myself where I am more suited which is Coding.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The plan for Full Release is to have:
  • A Full Open World Map (Expecting around 5-7km depending on Engine Capabilities toward the Games concept).
  • Vehicles to travel the Open World.
  • A lot more eWaste Objects (Ranging from CRT TVs, Mobile Phones, Tablets, White Goods etc).
  • More Realistic Disassembly (Including Copper Wire and many other Inner components).
  • Full Skill and Perk System.
  • Missions/Quests/Side-Quests.

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current state is that the core fundamentals have been achieved and are now working on polishing current features and adding QOL updates and features based on Community Suggestions.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Once Scrapping Simulator starts nearing its release date the price will most likely raise by a few dollars, but I intend this game to be on the cheaper side of Simulator Games.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Using the Steam Community HUB, Discord Server or GitHub Repo. Using Suggestions, Feedback, Reviews and Bug Reports to make a better end product.”
