Varför Early Access?

“Renown was built by a small, dedicated team of four and funded almost entirely by our community. Over the years, we have run multiple crowdfunding campaigns, and we don’t feel it’s right to ask for more, we’d rather show the world what we’ve created.

Our plan has always been to build a strong foundation for the game, something we can expand and refine with the help of the community. We believe we have reached that foundation point. Early Access allows us to share Renown now while working alongside players to shape its future.”

Ungefär hur länge kommer det här spelet att vara i Early Access?

“Renown is a game we plan to support for years to come. Early Access is just the beginning, we have so many ideas for how we can expand and evolve the game. Our focus isn’t just on hitting a release date but on building something that can grow with the community. We want to push Renown as far as it can go, adding new features and systems, refining gameplay, and ensuring it becomes the best medieval survival experience possible. We hope to be in Early Access for 12 - 18 before full release. ”

Hur är det tänkt att den fullständiga versionen ska skilja sig från versionen i Early Access?

“The full version of Renown is planned to expand on the foundation we’ve built in Early Access, growing in both depth and scale based on player feedback. While the core gameplay is already in place, we want to introduce more content, refine mechanics, and enhance the overall experience.

Some areas we’re looking to expand include:

More weapons, armor, and siege tools

Expanded building and destruction mechanics

A broader variety of biomes and world events

Improved social and political systems

Reputation and Mission systems

Automated crafting systems

Modding support

We will be releasing a Early Access road map soon, which will cover our plans in more depth.”

“Renown is fully playable and feature complete for its foundation stage.

Bottom line - It’s fun, playable and a little janky at times, but Early Access allows us to bring the people on to iron everything out.

“The game will be its cheapest in the early access release, as we are able to improve the systems and expand the overall amount of content Renown has to offer we will increase the price accordingly.”

Hur planerar ni att involvera gemenskapen i er utvecklingsprocess?

“We’ll keep doing what we have done since day one, directly involving the community in Renowns development. Our Discord has always been the heart of player feedback, with discussions, polls, and direct dev interactions shaping the game. We’ve built Renown alongside our community from the start, and that’s not changing.

We will continue to run regular playtests, gather feedback, and tweak mechanics based on what players actually experience in-game. Whether it’s combat balance, building updates, or new features, we want the community’s input every step of the way.

Early Access is just another phase in that process
