END-USER LICENSE AGREEMENT (EULA)

IMPORTANT – PLEASE READ CAREFULLY: This End-User License Agreement (“EULA”) is a binding legal agreement between you (“you” or “User”) and RDBK Studios Pty Ltd (“Developer”, “we”, “us”, “our”) regarding your use of Renown (the “Software” or “Game”). By installing, downloading, accessing, or using the Software, you agree to be bound by this EULA. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Software.

1. License Grant & Ownership
1.1 License. Subject to your compliance with all terms of this EULA, Developer grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to install, download, and use one copy of Renown for your personal, non-commercial entertainment purposes on the platform via which you acquired it (e.g. Steam).
1.2 Ownership & IP. The Software (including all updates, patches, DLCs, virtual items, code, graphics, audio, characters, animations, user interface, etc.) is owned by Developer (or its licensors). You do not acquire any ownership rights; all right, title, and interest remains with Developer.

2. Restrictions
You agree not to:
• reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, modify, adapt or otherwise attempt to derive the source code or underlying structure, ideas or algorithms of the Software, except to the extent permitted by law and then only with Developer’s prior written consent.
• rent, lease, lend, sublicense, resell, or distribute the Software or any of its parts, or virtual items, except where explicitly permitted (e.g. via Steam Marketplace for trading of cosmetic virtual items).
• cheat, hack, use bots or automated scripts, exploits, hacks or third-party tools that interfere with integrity of the game or give unfair advantage.
• attempt to circumvent any technical protection or digital rights management (DRM) used in the Software.
• use the Software or any virtual items in unlawful ways, or to violate rights of others (copyright, trademark, privacy, defamation, etc.).

3. Online Services, Servers, and Tools
3.1 Matchmaking & Servers. The Game supports online server-based matchmaking. You may join official servers run by Developer, or community servers run by third-party operators.
3.2 Server Tools (RCON / BattleMetrics). Servers and server operators may use remote server management and moderation tools such as RCON and BattleMetrics, which collect, monitor, and/or display certain technical and gameplay data (e.g., username, IP address, behavior stats, ban status) for administration, moderation, and analytics.
3.3 Consent and Use. By connecting to any Renown server (official or community), you consent to the use of these tools. The Developer is not responsible for misuse of such tools by third parties (e.g. community server operators).
3.4 Availability & Reliability. Official servers are provided “as is.” Developer does not guarantee uptime, absence of bugs, latency, or any specific performance metrics.

4. Virtual Items, In-Game Purchases & Trading
4.1 Virtual Items License. Cosmetic items, skins, or other in-game virtual goods (“Virtual Items”) are licensed to you, not sold. Your rights are limited to using the items in-game, in accordance with this EULA and applicable platform rules (e.g. Steam).
4.2 Trading. Some Virtual Items may be tradeable via the Steam Marketplace (or other permitted platform trading). Trades are subject to the rules of that platform. Developer may impose additional restrictions or revoke trading rights for specific items, especially in case of fraud or rule violation.
4.3 No Cash Redemption. Virtual Items have no monetary value outside the Game, and cannot legally, contractually, or practically be redeemed for cash or other non-virtual value, except as required by law.
4.4 Changes / Discontinuation. Developer may modify, suspend or discontinue distribution, functionality, or availability of Virtual Items, cosmetic items, or economy features at any time. Developer is not liable for losses arising from such changes.

5. User-Generated Content (UGC)
5.1 Definition. “User-Generated Content” or “UGC” refers to any content created or uploaded by users (other than Developer) for use within the Software or its community servers, including, but not limited to, mods, maps, custom configurations, scripts, skins, models, textures, levels, server settings.
5.2 Ownership & License.
• You retain all rights in any UGC you create, provided you own or have proper rights to all materials involved.
• By creating, uploading, submitting, or enabling UGC, you grant Developer and its licensees a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, worldwide, irrevocable, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, distribute, modify, publicly display and perform, and otherwise exploit that UGC for any Developer-permitted purpose (including marketing, promotional, or derivative works).
5.3 Content Requirements & Restrictions. All UGC must comply with:
• Applicable laws (copyright, trademark, defamation, privacy, etc.).
• The EULA rules (no malware, no unlawful content, no harassment / hate speech, no obscene or pornographic material, no terrorism / extremism content etc.).
• Non-infringement: you must have rights to any content incorporated into UGC (e.g. artwork, music).
5.4 Moderation & Removal. Developer reserves the right (but is not obligated) to refuse, remove, disable or refuse to host any UGC at any time, for any reason (including violation of these terms or laws). Developer may also suspend or ban accounts in connection with improper UGC.
5.5 No Guarantees / Compatibility. Developer is not required to host UGC permanently or ensure compatibility of UGC with future updates / patches. UGC may break or cease working after Software updates or engine changes.
5.6 Liability for UGC. You are responsible for your UGC. You indemnify Developer for any claims, damages, or liabilities arising out of your UGC (e.g. infringement, defamation, malicious code etc.).

6. Unreal Engine Licensed Technology / Attribution Clause
6.1 Licensed Technology & Relationship. The Software uses the Unreal® Engine, which is subject to license from Epic Games, Inc. You acknowledge that Unreal Engine and all related technology, tools, plug-ins, and content (both Epic’s and third party) are licensed but not sold. Developer does not grant you any rights in the Unreal Engine itself beyond what is necessary to use the Software as furnished.
6.2 Disclaimers Regarding Unreal Engine. All warranties, representations, conditions, and liabilities arising from or related to the Unreal Engine (performance, compatibility, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, etc.) are disclaimed by Developer to the fullest extent permitted by law.
6.3 Attribution & Trademark Notices. You agree that the following or substantially similar notices will be included in the game’s credits, legal notices, or equivalent sections:
“Renown uses the Unreal® Engine. Unreal® is a trademark or registered trademark of Epic Games, Inc. in the United States of America and elsewhere.”
“Unreal® Engine, Copyright 1998-[Year], Epic Games, Inc. All rights reserved.”
Attributions required by any third-party assets or engine-plugins must also be retained and displayed where required.

7. Data Collection, Logs & Privacy
7.1 Technical and Gameplay Data. The Software may collect non-personal data such as performance metrics, gameplay statistics, crash logs (local only), and server usage data.
7.2 Crash Logs. Crash or error logs generated locally are not automatically transmitted to Developer without your consent.
7.3 Privacy Policy. Any personal data (if collected, e.g. via account registration or in-game purchases) is handled in accordance with Developer’s Privacy Policy and applicable privacy laws (e.g GDPR in EU, Australian Privacy Act, etc.).
7.4 Monitoring & Tools. Use of RCON, BattleMetrics, or other server monitoring tools is consented to via this EULA when you connect to servers. Such tools may collect your IP address, username, ban status, behavior, etc., for moderation, security, analytics.

8. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
8.1 AS IS / NO WARRANTY. The Software is provided “as is,” without any warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, compatibility, uninterrupted service, or absence of defects.
8.2 Limitation of Damages. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Developer (and its officers, employees, affiliates, licensors) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use or inability to use the Software, virtual items, UGC, servers, tools (RCON, BattleMetrics), even if Developer has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
8.3 Maximum Liability. Developer’s total liability arising out of or related to this EULA or your use of the Software shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Software (if any).
8.4 Legal Limitations. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liabilities; in such jurisdictions, such exclusions or limitations shall apply only to the extent permitted by law.

9. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Developer (and its directors, officers, employees, agents, licensors) from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of:
• your breach of this EULA;
• your UGC (including infringement, unlawful content, etc.);
• your misuse of the Software, Virtual Items, tools (e.g. RCON, BattleMetrics);
• third-party claims arising from your conduct under or related to the Software.

10. Termination
10.1 Termination by Developer. Developer may terminate or suspend your license and access to the Software (or parts thereof), including online features, if you breach any term of this EULA.
10.2 Effect of Termination. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the Software, uninstall or delete all copies, and forfeit any rights to use Virtual Items or UGC as licensed under this EULA.

11. Governing Law, Dispute Resolution & Other Provisions
11.1 Governing Law & Jurisdiction. This EULA is governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia (unless Developer specifies another jurisdiction). You agree that disputes will be resolved in courts of competent jurisdiction in Victoria, Australia (or as required by law in your country of residence if mandatory protections apply).
11.2 Severability & Enforceability. If any part of this EULA is found unenforceable, unlawful, or invalid, that part will be severed but the remainder will continue in full force.
11.3 Amendments. Developer may modify this EULA from time to time. Updated versions will be posted or made available via the Software or its website. Your continued use after the effective date of changes constitutes your acceptance.
11.4 Entire Agreement. This EULA, together with Developer’s Privacy Policy, any platform terms (e.g. Steam Subscriber Agreement), and any additional agreements you accept in-game or via the platform, constitutes the entire agreement between you and Developer regarding Renown.
11.5 No Waiver. The failure of Developer to enforce any right or provision of this EULA does not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.

BY INSTALLING, DOWNLOADING, OR USING RENOWN, OR CONNECTING TO ITS ONLINE FEATURES, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD, AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THIS EULA.
