What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We’re launching Business Heroes: Street Grub in Early Access because we want to develop it with player feedback! This game is a deep street-food business sim with lots of moving parts, and we want to design the best experience together with our community. Early Access lets us serve new features and content in manageable bites, get your thoughts on what works best, and refine the recipe over time. In short, we believe developing the game with you – our players – will help turn Street Grub into the ultimate food truck empire strategy game. We’re excited to hear your ideas while we keep improving the game!”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We’re aiming to keep Street Grub in Early Access for about 12 months (tentatively). We think a year is long enough to develop all the features and content we’ve got planned, but we’ll gladly take a little extra time if needed to get everything just right. The timeline isn’t set in stone – we’ll be listening to your feedback along the way, and if we discover we need more time to add that extra spice or polish, we’ll let you know. In short, roughly a year (give or take) is our plan, and we’ll keep everyone updated if that changes. Quality is the goal, so we won’t rush the final release until the game feels ready!”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We have big plans for what’s coming to Street Grub as we work towards a full release. By 1.0, we plan to add more challenges, a richer menu system with more unique recipes, and deeper character progression for your staff and suppliers. We also plan to introduce a couple of rival AI entrepreneurs to compete against, which should spice up the strategy!

In addition to new content, we plan to refine visuals and audio, as well as implement numerous quality-of-life improvements. Essentially, the Early Access version is the appetiser – fun and fully playable, but the full release will be the complete banquet with all the trimmings. Of course, we’ll be listening to player suggestions along the way, so the final feature list may evolve a bit to include the community’s best ideas.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version of Street Grub is fully playable and already a blast, with all core systems up and running.

Right now, you can:
– Build your street food business from scratch in Campaign Mode across the 7 cities with different weather, GDP, ingredient price, etc.
– Manage 12+ street food stalls and recipes, from a burger bike to a double-decker food truck – each with its own upgrades and quirks.
– Hire and train staff, handle customer rush hours, and juggle random events (like food festivals or sudden rainstorms that affect sales).
– Enjoy Sandbox Mode for endless play, or tackle Challenge Scenarios with special rules.

The game’s core economic simulation, tech tree, and customer AI are in place and fairly balanced, though we expect to refine them further with feedback.

Performance is stable; you should get a smooth experience, though minor bugs and rough edges can pop up here and there (we’re fixing these regularly!). Some content is still in progress. Overall, Street Grub already offers hours of strategic gameplay (many players report 15-20 hours in this build), but there’s plenty more content and polish coming as we continue development.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes – we do plan to adjust the price as development progresses. Right now, during Early Access, Street Grub is priced a bit lower than we expect the final version to be. We’ve set the current price to reflect the content available today, and as we keep adding new cities, features and improvements, the plan is to gradually raise the price to match the game’s expanded scope. This way, early supporters get the best value (consider it a thank-you for joining us early!), while the final price will fairly represent the full content at 1.0.

In practical terms, this means the cost might go up at key milestones – for example, after we add major updates. Rest assured, we’ll announce any price changes well in advance. If you buy the game now, you’ll of course get all these updates free, and you’ll be locking in Street Grub at the lowest price it’ll ever be. We think that’s a pretty good deal for our founding food entrepreneurs! And if we decide later on that no price change is needed, we’ll let everyone know that too. Transparency is super important to us here.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community involvement is absolutely central to our plans for Street Grub. We’re a tiny dev team, but with your help, we know we can make this game truly special. Here’s how we’re inviting you to join in:

– Steam Forums & Discord: We’re active daily on the Steam discussion boards – you can find us there responding to feedback and troubleshooting issues with players. We’ve also set up an official Discord server (because who doesn’t love a good real-time chat?). Whether you have a cool idea for a new food truck, or you found a sneaky bug, come and talk to us!

– In-Game Feedback Tool: We’ve included a feedback button right in the game (look for the little notebook icon in the menu). If you press it, you can send us your thoughts or bug reports without even tabbing out. This sends us your notes plus some game data, which helps immensely in tracking down problems

– Regular Updates & Dev Blogs: We plan to drop updates roughly every two weeks, packed with new features or fixes. Alongside each update, we’ll post a brief dev blog or patch notes to keep you informed on what’s new, what’s changed, and what’s coming next. Expect to hear from us often – we love sharing progress!

– Your Ideas in Action: We have our own roadmap, but it’s not set in stone. If the community overwhelmingly wants a certain feature or balance change, we’re very open to adjusting our plans.”

About This Game

You sell, make money, or not. It's all about strategy: what to prioritise, when to raise prices or go into a price war with your competitor, and much more. An oversight might cost you a few bucks or millions. You keep lines moving. You outsmart rivals, ride the good days, and survive the bad ones. A tycoon/management simulation about starting small, getting better, and making it big.

Master Lee’s challenge

Every morning, the richest entrepreneur alive sips Yorkshire tea and thinks about the one thing he never found: a true successor. So, he builds a test anyone can try. A business challenge based on one of his first hustles. He calls it Business Heroes: Street Grub. Pass his challenge, and you prove you’ve got the heart and the brains to lead.

Your mission

Start a food-truck business that lasts. Grow so fast that it bothers your rivals. Meet the hidden conditions Master Lee set along the way. If you go bankrupt, you lose. If you stay sharp, you rise.
