Why Early Access?

“Ball at Work is being developed by a small indie team of two developers. We have put in a lot of effort to deliver super-fun gameplay and a flawless, bug-free app but given the experimental nature of the project and its novel concept, it is important that we analyse how users interact with the game to understand their response to the physics, the difficulty and other gameplay mechanics, so that we can identify the areas that need more work.

Iteratively and gradually introducing content and features to the Early Access will give us more time to patiently and properly improve the product while the feedback and suggestions from our users and our analysis of user-engagement data will help us decide on its long-term feasibility for our business.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We have already run some successful rounds of testing for Ball at Work while it was in an early development stage and intend to actively engage with early adopters to get their feedback and suggestions for improvement.

We expect to keep Ball at Work in Early Access for 2-3 months during which period we will introduce various improvements to the app's overall experience (gameplay, UI, audio, performance), weed out all remaining bugs/glitches and hopefully be able to add more content and levels to the game.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The framework that has been set up for Ball at Work is highly scalable and can be extended to make a truly remarkable and unique game with endless possibilities in which users can explore and interact with the environment.

If we see a substantial interest in the concept during Early Access, we will be looking to bring more levels, new puzzles and overhauled visual effects to the game for its full release. We also have plans to work on an in-game level-editor and the ability to share user-generated levels among players!”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Almost all the features for Ball at Work that we have described in the game's listing are available in a bug-free state in the Early Access version and improvements will be made through regular updates. Some content will be rolled out gradually during the first 40 days of Early Access.

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We intend for Ball at Work to be a fun and highly-accessible game for a very wide audience which is easy to pick up and play for short periods but also has enough depth and refinement in its gameplay to make it challenging as one progresses.

Our goal at Famous Dogg is to always bring unique and accessible experiences to our users and a lot of effort is put into the conceptualisation and development of our projects. To support further development, we plan to make the Early Access version a paid game within 30-40 days of the initial release and the full release of Ball at Work will see a price increase of 50-100% over the Early Access version.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“To build a game that is easy to pick up and play yet hard to master and deliver an experience that never gets stale or repetitive, we are always open to new ideas and will never leave any stone unturned in our endeavour to build a fun and high-quality product.

Smash through piles of books, bring down the shelves, swing over the lights and sneak through the vents to uncover the path to goal!

The simple controls make the game easy to pick up and play allowing the user to explore the environment and discover new tricks and strategies.

As you navigate the obstacle course littered with water hazards and falling objects, look out for clever hints that are shown on the computer screens and on wall projections. If you still find yourself struggling in any level, just use some bonus slips and unlock a guide-path to show you the way.
