What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Kyma is now advanced enough to be playable. I offer early access to finish its development based on feedback from players who are ready to face some bugs and a gameplay that may change a lot on some points. The goal is to make the game as stable, and clean as possible with optimization for the final release. This is a relatively ambitious game for a single developer, and I am perfectly aware that I might have surprises, especially at the release, despite a closed alpha already achieved. This early access allows me to talk to more motivated players, who will have relevant feedback on the gameplay, the content, the balancing of resources and the stability of the game.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I expect early access to be finished in roughly a year.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The final version will differ essentially in the amount of content (there will be more quests, more events, more opportunities with villagers, more furnitures and plants, and the main story will be finished). It will also be a much more stable and optimized game. The beginning of the story that is currently implemented will be improved. Other additions may be considered based on players feedback, mainly for balancing and gameplay improvement.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version of Kyma Maker’s Island allows the player to explore a randomly generated island with ability to change some generation settings. The player shape this island by crafting or buying objects and constructions. There is a learning system with books that can be purchased with trust. This trust can be earned from the villagers by doing various quests for them. The books, found in the training center, will allow you to move forward in the beginning of the story. The story is only partially implemented and the beginning may change a bit.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Price will increase moderately at the final release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I provide players places to send their feedback (bugs, opinons, remarks) to the following addresses:

Discord: https://discord.gg/AqFGBVHEnt
Gitlab: https://gitlab.com/kidness/project-1/-/issues

Feel free to use it! (in English or French)”
