What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“After developing Ballex1, I hope to recreate a rolling ball game with more complex gameplay, more beautiful graphics, and more freedom to make custom levels, so I made Ballex².
As the gameplay becomes more complex, I hope to make this game even better when it is released. Before the 1.0 version is released, this game needs more players to participate, to test new gameplay and new functions together, and hope to receive more fresh ideas.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The Early Access state will last about 20 months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“1. Built-in levels: At present, the built-in levels are not complete, and the built-in levels will be gradually supplemented in subsequent updates. Finally, 20 main side levels and 20+ side levels are planned to be completed.
2. Custom levels: It is planned to add more available functions to make it easier to create more personalized levels.
3. More gameplay and features: such as online mode, challenge mode, etc., the details are not yet decided, and we will consider adding more fun gameplay.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current early access version already has 18 main side levels and 6 side levels for the easy mode. The workshop has been available so that players can now create their own levels for the game. There are a number of custom maps available in the workshop so far, all of which are highly playable.
The game is currently undergoing a remake and will be released in a better appearance later.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“I plan to gradually increase the pricing as new content and features are added.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“If you encounter some problems in the game, you can always contact the developers through the developer email, Discord or discussion boards of the Steam community, etc. If you have a good idea that you want to add to the game, you can also discuss it with the developer.”

Control Modes

2. Free-look view: Similar to some third-person games, you can use the WASD key to control the movement of the ball, the mouse to adjust the direction of the view, and the space bar to lock the viewing angle to a multiple of 45 degrees, which is convenient for passing some specific roads.

Physical Systems
