About This Game

Lost RETROGRADE (LoRE) is a stealth horror sandbox game where you must escape a mysterious man and find your grandfather, who has seemingly been kidnapped from his cottage in the woods.

Play as Bethany Lewis, a college girl who goes to visit her grandfather, only to be knocked out by a mysterious man inside her grandfather's cottage. When she awakes, she finds her grandfather has been kidnapped & thrown into an underground bunker beneath the lake, guarded by the mysterious man. Avoid the mysterious man, explore the large cottage property, find a way into the bunker, and find Grandpa.

STEALTH HORROR GAMEPLAY

Hunting you down in the woods is a mysterious man, who is set on keeping you inside the cottage and away from the bunker. He relentlessly searches for you in the woods, able to track your movement, and hear every footstep you make. If he spots you, there's little chance for escape. Hide in bushes, lockers, or distract him by throwing an item or breaking a window. 

But be careful! The mysterious man learns from your every move. He will place traps, change his search patterns, and try to sneak up on you when you aren't looking. Make sure to change up your strategy often!

OPEN SANDBOX ENVIRONMENT

Grandpa's cottage is a vast forest filled with interesting and unique areas. Solve environment & logic puzzles in many different ways. Front door locked? Break a window, or make a distraction so the mysterious man unlocks it for you! Pick up any item you find, and discover their unique uses. Block doors with chairs, smash beer bottles, use binoculars, or stun the mysterious man with a fire extinguisher. It's up to you to decide how to play. 

PSYCHOLGICAL HORROR MYSTERY

Uncover the dark secret hidden beneath Grandpa's cottage, a place where reality begins to blur, and its residents' history is seen in every corner. Everything is connected, from Bethany, to Grandpa, to the mysterious man. As you explore Grandpa's property, watch as the world begins to unfold and the pieces begin to come together.
