What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“As an independent game production team, developing a quality commercial game is a tough challenge. Due to the relatively long development cycle of the game, we need to expand the player community through Early Access and get feedback from players earlier in order to help us improve the game better.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“As a campus simulation game, both players and us would like to add more interesting and rich content to High School Odyssey. Therefore, the Early Access is expected to last 6 to 12 months. We are working hard to launch the official version as soon as possible.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to add more school simulation content in the future, including more storylines, more interesting relationship modes (such as the Soulmate mode), and more challenging new ways to play (such as the "Quarrel" game). There's no doubt that the full version will be more interesting and fun, but we still need time to complete this huge set of development tasks.
The biggest difference between the full version and this version is that there will be more player-suggested content. During the Early Access, players will be part of our development team and your input will shape the future of the game.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“This version has basically completed the romance content for the 9 girls, as well as the main plot for the lawyer Li Lei. While we feel the game still has a lot of room for improvement, it is already playable and we believe it will bring joy to a wide range of players.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Due to the increase in content and development costs, the full version of the game will be priced higher after the Early Access ends.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We strongly believe that players are part of our development team, so we will actively listen to opinions from the player community and welcome you to leave your suggestions in the steam community of High School Odyssey.”
