About This Game

Colorful and varied characters clash in this beginner friendly fighting game. Family friendly themes and aesthetics, with simple yet innovative combat mechanics and straightforward inputs, make Daybreak Slam a welcoming experience for new players to the genre, while allowing each character to stand out in their own unique ways that veterans will appreciate.

The setting and character roster of unlikely fighters blends themes from gaming, anime, cartoonish fantasy and sci-fi, and super hero shows, inspired by all-time classics in a 90s like style. Join them in the city of Nakatomi, as a wayward experiment brings inanimate objects and fictional characters to life, while the launch of a new gaming console brings everyone together.

Characters:

  • Professor Miyao: A scientist and inventor focused on creating technology to make everyday life easier. It is his experiment that goes wrong, fueling the events of the game. His mechanical arms, autonomous assistants that help him with mundane tasks, do most of the fighting while Miyao’s mind is focused on his research.

  • Penny: Miyao’s niece, a gifted and highly driven university student with a part time job as a delivery girl. She joins the fray in the high tech roller skates she uses everyday.

  • T.I.L.O.: An advanced mech piloted by Shultz, Miyao’s pet dog. Shultz is an avid gamer, and relies on T.I.L.O. to access the venue of the new console launch event, where dogs are not allowed.

  • Mantas Hero: The protagonist and namesake character of the number one tokustatsu hero show in Nakatomi.

  • Gyora: A fierce kaiju monster, arch-nemesis of Mantas Hero and antagonist of the show. No one knows whether Mantas and Gyora are real or actors in disguise. They are always in character and friends outside of the show.

  • Mira Stars: An anime magical girl, protagonist of her own show, brought to life by Miyao’s wayward experiment.

  • Ao Man: The green light of a pedestrian traffic light, hit by Miyao’s experiment and brought to life as a flat 2D man. He loves dancing and pop music.

  • Narumi: A vending machine for cool drinks, formerly installed across the street from the traffic light where Ao Man came from. She has a bubbly personality and loves cute things, but is strong and ruthless when angry.
