About This Game

In 199X, following the mysterious disappearance of a scientific reconnaissance team, an arcade cabinet appeared on the dark side of the Iron Moon. The game, titled bithunters, has no known origin. Starting it cuts off all radio communication. When contact resumes, everyone nearby has vanished. Only their headless skeletons remain. To investigate this anomaly, volunteers have been enlisted to travel to the moon and play the game one at a time.

EXTRACT EVERYTHING

Inside the game, explore a digitally constructed world assembled from the familiar and the unknown. Gather resources from enemies and the environment, and build structures and systems to extract everything you can from your surroundings. Consume the bits you gather to level up and unlock skills, then use what you extract to expand your mobile domain, which travels with you between checkpoints.

ASSIMILATE HUNTERS

Encounter hunters at random, each with unique abilities, equipment options, and party bonuses. Assimilate them and assemble a team whose strengths fit the encounter, then coordinate their individual cooldowns against dangerous traps and powerful bosses.

BREACH DATA

Interface with the arcade machine and find ways to breach its protocols. Previous players have left records of their progress. Learn from their mistakes and continue on. It will be a difficult journey, but if you're curious how it ends, find a way to complete the game alive.
