Почему ранний доступ?

«Being focused on competitive PvP, we need much more data to make sure everything is balanced and enjoyable. We do not currently have much of the competitive infrastructure implemented such as ranked queues and spectating. We also have not had a chance to test our game server solution at scale. Because of these shortcomings, we'd like to give players a warning to expect some bugs and instability regarding Nova's competitive environment.

In addition to the infrastructure, the combat itself is key to Nova's competitive integrity. We believe we've hit the sweet spot when it comes to balancing action combat and strategy. »

«Considering Nova's current scope, we'd expect Early Access to last approximately 6-12 months. There are many features we'd like to extend and improve, but only a select few are considered to be required for an official release. We don't intend to remain in Early Access longer than necessary.»

«Right now we have three main game modes: Conquest, Deathmatch, and Extraction.

Conquest (PvPvE) - Best described as a blend between a Battle Royale and MOBA with heavy RPG elements. Up to five players harvest, craft, and engage in combat with both creatures and enemy players. Along the way, they gain powerful Augmentations and compete in various World Events that award points. The player with the most points at the end wins.

Deathmatch (PvP) - Classic 1v1 and 2v2.

Extraction (PvE) - Endless waves of progressively more and more difficult enemies grant progressively more and more powerful Augmentations. Become God or die trying.

We also have five Elements. Each Element has seven Abilities. Each Ability has at least one Talent, fundamentally changing its behavior. On top of this, we have 48 Augmentations to further enhance and personalize your playstyle.

Between these three main game modes and nearly endless combinations of Elements, Talents, and Augmentations, we believe there is PLENTY of content available. Play online by yourself or grab some friends and throw down.»

«A competitive game would most likely best benefit from being free to play. Cosmetic microtransactions and some sort of Battle Pass are the most likely means of income. That being said, if we need to keep the price of purchase above $0 for whatever reason we will try our best to keep it as low as possible in order to promote a healthy community.»

Participate in Pleasant PvP

  • Abilities have No Cooldowns and instead consume and restore mana, requiring proper Mana Management to operate efficiently. This allows good players to remain competitive in combat much longer, never needing to put themselves at a disadvantage for future fights by using crucial cooldowns.
  • To make combat more engaging and enjoyable, especially when outnumbered, there is Limited Crowd Control, Limited Healing, and Limited Movement.
    • Crowd Control always has prerequisites, typically breaks on damage, and is often avoidable if played correctly.
    • Shields are favored over heals. Healing and shielding often require offensive instead of defensive actions, reducing the benefit of running away and stalling.
    • Most abilities require the caster to stay still while casting. Movement speed is also slowed while strafing and even slower when walking backwards. Faster movement is available with a directional dodge every 3 seconds or by turning your back on the action and running away.
  • There are No Clones, No Forced Movement, No Invincibility, No Invisibility, and No Pets. Although these mechanics can be fun to use, they can lead to very toxic and unenjoyable experiences when used against you. Every mechanic is meticulously evaluated for potential abuse; if it can cause unnecessary frustration, it is not implemented.

Form a Powerful Elemental Duality

Combine the elements of Fire, Frost, Nature, Shadow, and Storm to form up to 10 Dualities. Each element consists of 7 abilities for a total of 14 abilities per Duality. Elements are designed to operate independently and do not have direct interactions with each other. Players are granted the freedom to create their own combos and synergies.


Personalize Your Playstyle with Talents

Each ability can be swapped out with various talents, fundamentally changing its behavior. Bolster your strengths or cover your weaknesses.

Examples
  • Inner Fire
    • Baseline - Restores 500 mana over 5 seconds.
    • Talent - Restores 375 mana and increases movement speed by up to 100% over 5 seconds.
  • Thorns
    • Baseline - Roots the target in place, dealing damage when they use mana.
    • Talent - Roots the caster in place, absorbing damage when they use mana.

Accumulate Unprecedented Power with Augmentations

Harvest, craft, and fight for over 50 different Augmentations, each providing powerful enhancements to important abilities and mechanics.

Examples
  • Hunt and Gather - Increases movement speed by up to 100% for 10 seconds after harvesting Combathorn, Elementium, Manabloom, and Vitalite.
  • Improved Fire Whirl - Fire Whirl returns to the caster upon expiration, dealing damage and slowing enemies in its path.
  • Mobile Mentality - Using an ability with full mana allows it to be cast while moving.
  • Vitalite - Increases maximum health by 50 per stack. Stacks up to 10 times.

Harvest resources scattered across the land, granting basic Augmentations such as an increase to maximum health and faster mana regeneration.


Craft specialized Augmentations by providing skilled artisans with the required component Augmentations.


Fight creatures and enemy players for powerful combat Augmentations.
