Development Status

Flaming Friday Night originally launched in March 2020 as a full release, even though the game was still unfinished. It should have been released in Early Access, but since this was our first Steam game, we made a mistake during the release process and didn't select that option.

We've temporarily stopped selling the game while working on its remaster. The game will return with Season 1, with more content planned for future seasonal updates.

About This Game

Thinking that there will only be a murder party on Friday the 13th is dangerous. Horrible crimes happen at any time, regardless of a particular date. This is about ordinary, far-from-perfect people trying to go about their everyday lives in a city where even the hazards seem to roam the streets.

Some days are downright boring. Some days you might feel like a loser. Other days, the smallest things can put you in a good mood. And sometimes you've got the usual problems that come with being in your twenties. Every now and then, a murderer who's obsessed with you might drop by to say hello and swing a blade around. But don't worry too much. This isn't a classic slasher movie.

You might get lonely sometimes, but chances are there's at least one person in your corner. And if there isn't, well... maybe it's a good time to make a new friend.

Flaming Friday Night is a sentimental horror-noir RPG set in a glamorous city full of cute people, oddballs, lunatics, and murderers.

Be a New Ever

In New Eve City, the capital of the world, you can enjoy the little pleasures of everyday life amid the city's glamour. Perhaps you'll make some new friends or find happiness in the little things.

There are some hazards to watch out for, though. Ice cream that might raise your blood sugar, slightly dangerous-looking beasts roaming the streets, murderers, or people who are just plain crazy.

In Season 1, you can roam the city and go about your daily life as Ena Rain or Robert Santiago. You'll probably get hurt a lot. You might find a little kindness here and there. And sometimes, when you're feeling blue, you might just want to take a walk and enjoy the crisp evening air.

Let's Keep Our City Clean!

Help clean up the trash making a mess of the city and make the streets a little safer while you're at it. Fat pigeons, criminals trying way too hard to look cool, actual psychopathic killers. And more!

Grow Stronger, but Stay Classy

Get too comfortable with city life, and you might end up a frail New Ever with cheese sauce and alcohol running through your veins and every health problem under the sun. You'd make an awfully good meal for anything with a taste for blood. So take care of yourself. Fight off the bad guys, take part in various activities, and keep getting stronger.

Being Sociable Is Part of Being a New Ever

Meet all kinds of people. Have a laugh, enjoy a good conversation, and maybe even cry once in a while. In the end, it's the memories that stay with you, isn't it? Just don't go doing something stupid because you think you're looking out for someone you care about.
