What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We believe that the game is currently ready to be played by a wider audience, but there are still many features that we are going to implement. Our goal is to start receiving feedback from our community in Early Access to fine-tune our ideas and refine the player experience in Potion Craft.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The most important thing for us is quality, and it requires time. We will make periodic major updates that will show the progress of the development and when it’s clear that the game has enough features and is in the state we want it to be, we will go for a full-fledged release.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“In the current version, the player is already able to interact with the Alchemy Machine, which will be the main tool to progress towards creating a Philosopher's Stone. We are going to introduce more potion effects, recipes, ingredients, and potion bases. The process of running the potion shop will also expand, as players will be able to upgrade their garden, work on their reputation and develop their alchemist talents. To make sure making potions doesn't become a routine, certain customers will request potions with special conditions. We also have plans for numerous quality of life improvements, for which we would need a lot of player feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game looks and plays as a finished product. All the basic mechanics work well and most of the features are in place. There’s plenty of room for creativity in Potion Craft. This is a sandbox game that can be played indefinitely, so you can play it for dozens of hours, going down The Alchemist’s Path, discovering new recipes, and optimizing the old ones even at the current stage of development.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, we are planning to change the price after the Early Access period.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We're in constant contact with the Potion Craft community on Discord and social media channels discussing all things related to the game, running weekly challenges, and other activities. We love getting continuous feedback on the game and its features, this helps us a lot to develop the dream game. Rest assured this will stay this way even after the full-fledged release of Potion Craft. Moreover, we have lots of plans and ideas on how to engage and develop the community even more.”

About This Game

  • Unique visuals inspired by medieval manuscripts and medical books.
  • Hyper satisfying physical interactions with ingredients and equipment.
  • Sandbox style gameplay where you have many different avenues available, and it’s up to you to figure out the best way to complete each task.
  • Sell your potions to the townsfolk while roleplaying as a noble artisan, a greedy weasel, an occult dark master, or whomever else you may wish to be!

Work with all sorts of ingredients

Leaves, flowers, berries, roots, fruits, minerals, and a plethora of mushrooms are at the ready for your mortar and pestle. Just like espresso, the fineness of the grind matters!

Learn the art of potion making

Concoct your potion plan. Grind ingredients and carefully mix them in your cauldron. Heat the coals. Boil and stir. Add the base: water, oil, or… something else. Congrats on your first potion! Was it easy to learn? Now try mastering it!

Experiment and invent new recipes

Carefully plan your route via the Alchemy Map to combine different effects. Be mindful of common sense: you won’t find a market for a poisonous healing potion… right? Or would you?

Sell potions

Every day customers will come to your store looking for solutions to their problems. You will face consequences depending on what you decide to sell them. Attract guilds, befriend notable figures (or feud with them), gain riches and influence - and one day, you may even decide the fate of the whole town.

Buy ingredients or grow your own

Every alchemist needs ingredients. You can buy them from traveling merchants: it can be pricey, but successful haggling may save you some coin. Or you can just grow your own!

Get creative with customizing

Want to give a special appearance to your best potions? Go ahead! Change bottle shape, label type, icon, and colors. You can even give it a custom name and label description. Carefully arrange your unique potions to showcase them on your shop’s shelves and tables… or carelessly throw them around - we’re not gonna tell you what to do, just have fun!
