What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“This game, due to difficulty level is probably not for everyone. We put a lot of work to make AI stand out and make you sweat. But not because they can hit you in the eye from a mile. It's much more advanced than that and requires player to be constantly on the move.

Still though we make it for fun and challenge. We need your feedback - not to make it easier but to make every minute of gameplay experience rewarding and memorable. It’s very important for us to get the core gameplay right.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We aim to have first act available in about 2-3 months. Second and final acts to be released in the summer. That makes around 6 months to go out of early access from now on. Neuro-fiber-optics gods be with us!

Content development is at full speed right now. We’re tiny studio, but not new to fps game-dev. Being small (with all benefits coming from it) requires you to be really focused on what’s important. This is why getting gameplay mechanics right is the priority. Flashy pics come next.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Right now you can play challenge arena, with a 3 enemies. There’s so much more though in the full version three acts of story driven action. It's cyberpunk game, so there will be hacking. A lot of it. Not more than shooting, but once you finish the game, you will never walk past auto-turret the same way again. We’re experimenting with some cool, melee finishers too – you’ll have opportunity to share your feedback on those very soon.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Challenge arena with ultimate suggestion emitters, guarded by 3 out of 5 enemies from the first tier you will be dealing with at the beginning of the game. Head out to "About the game" section no learn more about gameplay features we're working on.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, price will go up to reflect final quality (and content) of the game.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We're going to connect with community on the steam forums and dedicated discord server.”

About This Game

Cyberception is a single player FPS set in dystopian, cyberpunk world.

Classic first person shooter gameplay fused with elements of parkour that gives players new ways to dominate enemies.

Three acts of story driven combat and hacking, inspired by such legends as Quake, Half-Life and recent reimaginations of Doom - this is our tribute to 90s good-old-days of pure first person shooting gameplay of internet-cafes era.

Single player campaign will be accompanied with challenge arenas, with endless waves and players score tracked through global ranking. We love online skirmishes, but in cyberpunk world you’re alone man. Nobody will hear your scream over wires, unless you beat somebody’s score!

On the course of the campaign you will wander through under city canals (inspired by monolithic Tokyo anti-flood system), streets of the mega city and executive top floors of the corporate headquarters.

You will face over 15 unique enemies, resembling different tiers of the cyberpunk criminal underworld and culture-fused megacity where it’s difficult to say when night comes after a day.

7 types of weapons - including firearms and energy, alongside with hacking ability should be enough to give you a chance to survive this trip.

All these neuro-fiber-stimulation junkies want one thing - to stop you from preventing ultimate suggestion emitters go full online. Because when they do, say goodbye to free will, buddy. It may be a video game story, but this is happening right now – this technology exists already. Get ready for the future and learn how to deal with it when it comes to your doorsteps!
