Why Early Access?

“Bolf is a unique and exciting experience. Driving down the fairway may feel familiar, but the novel short game requires a new style of thinking to make the approach to the pins really work. The game already offers a complete course to enjoy, challenge scores with short and long tees, and character customization. A further 3 courses are planned, but given the singular nature of the sport, course designs can benefit greatly from community feedback. An early access period will give players an opportunity to weigh in on the direction of future courses. Once complete, Bolf will include score challenges across each of these new courses, along with new club and clothing customization options.”

“In it's initial state, Bolf includes a complete 18 "hole" course, challenge scores on short and long tees, experience upgrades, and character customization. The full release will include a further three courses as well as additional character customization options.”

“Bolf is fully playable in its current state and offers both short and long tee challenges on a complete, 18 hole course. Characters can be customized and abilities improved using experience points awarded for challenge performance.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No, the price will remain the same throughout Early Access and at full release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback will help drive the design of additional courses and may influence further development of the core game mechanics. Players will be encouraged, in the Steam community discussion boards, to share their experiences with the initial course (and new courses as they become available). Through polls and discussion threads, this feedback about which design elements do and don't work will inform the design process for future courses.”
