Leaving Early Access: 2028

Note: The last update made by the developers was over 6 years ago. The information and timeline described by the developers here may no longer be up to date.
What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Invasion 2037 is being developed by a solo indie developer, and Early Access allows me to build the game together with the community.

I am currently working on a completely new version of the game, rebuilt and redesigned from the version that is currently available on Steam. The core vision remains focused on a third-person survival shooter set in a dark and hostile world, but many systems, visuals, mechanics, and gameplay elements are being reworked to better match the future direction of the project.

Early Access will help me gather feedback while the new version continues to grow. Player input will be very valuable for improving combat, enemy behavior, exploration, performance, level design, weapon feel, balance, and overall pacing.

By joining Early Access, players will be able to follow the development closely, share their thoughts, and help shape Invasion 2037 as it moves toward its full release.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The current goal is to keep Invasion 2037 in Early Access for approximately 24 months.

Since the game is being developed by a solo indie developer and I am currently working on a completely new version of the project, this timeline may evolve depending on the amount of content added, community feedback, testing, optimization, and overall development progress.

My priority is to take the time needed to build a stronger, more polished version of Invasion 2037 rather than rush the full release.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of Invasion 2037 is planned to offer a more complete, polished, and expanded experience compared to the Early Access version.

During Early Access, the game will continue to evolve through new content, improved level design, better enemy behavior, refined combat, additional weapons, improved progression, performance optimization, bug fixes, and overall gameplay balancing.

The full version is planned to include a stronger and more complete version of the new vision for Invasion 2037, with more refined systems, improved atmosphere, more polished visuals, and a more stable experience based on player feedback gathered during Early Access.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Invasion 2037 is currently in active development as a completely new version of the game, rebuilt from the version that is currently available on Steam.

The Early Access version is planned to include the core foundation of the new experience: third-person survival shooter gameplay, exploration, enemy encounters, weapon handling, atmosphere, and the first version of the game world and progression systems.

At this stage, players should expect an evolving game. Some content, features, animations, balancing, performance optimization, and polish will still be in development. Bugs and unfinished elements may be present, but the goal of Early Access is to improve and expand the game with feedback from the community.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. The Early Access version is planned to be offered at a lower price than the final release.

As Invasion 2037 grows with more content, improved systems, better polish, and additional features, the price may increase when the game leaves Early Access. Players who support the game during Early Access will keep access to future updates as the game continues to evolve.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I plan to involve the community throughout Early Access by listening closely to player feedback, suggestions, bug reports, and discussions.

Feedback from Steam reviews, Steam discussions, social media, Discord, and live streams will help guide development priorities. I want players to be able to share their thoughts on combat, enemy behavior, level design, performance, weapon feel, atmosphere, and overall gameplay balance.

As a solo indie developer, community feedback is very important. It will help me identify what works, what needs improvement, and what should be prioritized as Invasion 2037 evolves toward its full release.”
