What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Bitrich.info started as two friends working on a passion project. Now, just a few years later, it has expanded into a vibrant team of developers, designers, and musicians – all working to create the greatest dispatching game out there. Whilst our game is stable and has a plethora of maps (and game modes), this means that we’re still adding regular updates – and we’ve got a number of milestones we’d like to hit before the end of our Early Access period.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We want to create the best game possible. That means releasing regular updates and bug fixes, whilst gathering community feedback each time to make sure that we’re heading in a direction that you’d love to see. Our focus on community also means that we don’t have a stable roadmap – we introduce our updates and features based on the needs of our community, creating a dynamic development experience that benefits everyone.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“There's a whole (enormous) list of ideas that we’d love to implement, and we’re currently adding regular, major content updates to the game on regular basis.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Rail Route is currently stable, with a whole load of maps (both official and community-made) to choose from. We’ve got a vibrant community and Discord server, and we’re releasing regular, major content updates – one recent example being the Rush Hour game mode.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Honestly, we're not sure yet. We'll have a better picture when we're closer to the full release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Planning? We're far past that! Our community is already deeply ingrained in our development process. As mentioned before, our community has helped us to weed out bugs and provided us with feedback and feature suggestions for the game. They've been invaluable in this process, and will likely continue to be far into our full release.

Feel free to join us in Discord and see for yourself!”

About This Game

Rail Route is a streamlined, modern take on the transport tycoon simulator. Packed full of quality of life enhancements, in Rail Route you’ll design, construct and automate your own railway network – in one of dozens of real-life cities worldwide! So, go ahead – sit back, chill out, and dispatch some trains.

Design Your Network

First things first, you’ll need to begin constructing your network. No great, grand designs in mind yet? Not to worry – to start, you just need to lay down tracks between two stations. And, once you’ve done that, you just won’t be able to stop expanding…

Start Dispatching Trains

Once you’ve started designing your network, it’s time to begin dispatching trains! Once you’ve checked your train’s destination and ensured that you’ve set your switches correctly, you can signal it to set off. Just make sure that it doesn’t arrive late!

Unlock New Technology

Looking to automate your experience? As you dispatch your trains and take on new contracts, you’ll be earning research points. You can use these to unlock new upgrades and parts for your network, including automatic signals (meaning that the trains will dispatch themselves!). Eventually, you might even end up with something like this…

Looking good? Oh, and don’t worry – we have dozens of upgrades to choose from!

Endless Mode

In our principal ‘Endless Mode’, you’ll have complete freedom to construct your rail network how you see fit. Choose from one of our real-life city maps, and we’ll provide the station names and locations – the rest is up to you. Build your tracks, dispatch trains from station to station, go where your creativity takes you.

Rush Hour

If you’re looking for something a little more intense, Rush Hour is our wave-based game-mode designed to get your adrenaline pumping. In Rush Hour, you’ll dispatch your way through wave-after-wave of trains, each one increasing in difficulty. You can even compete in our weekly challenges to try to get your name up on the leaderboard!

Timetable Mode

Not in a building mood? Timetable Mode provides you with puzzle-like levels with a pre-set train schedule and track layout. Your job is simple: get your trains to their destinations on time, without crashing! If it sounds a bit simple, don’t worry… We’ll get your head scratching in no time.

Create or Play Workshop Maps!

Got a favourite station or town that you’d love to see in Rail Route? Our workshop has 1000+ maps, so chances are, you’ll find it! If not (or if you’re looking to subject the community to your own wild machinations), our easy-to-use level editor means that you can make it yourself!
