What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“While we feel we have solid core gameplay already, we need player feedback to make STATIONflow really great. We want to know what players like (or dislike) about the game, what additional features and improvements they really want. We want to make sure everything is in place to give players the freedom to build the kind of stations they want, with an appropriate level of challenge.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We estimate about four months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We are looking to implement new features based on player feedback, aimed at giving the player more freedom and control over their station. This could be new options for items to construct, new passenger types, or simply user experience improvements to give the player more useful information: STATIONflow is a game about optimizing your station, and we want to make sure players have everything they need to do that.

We will also update game balance, based on player feedback, to make for a more enjoyable time playing the game. We are also planning on adding more maps to game, with more diverse layouts and levels of challenge.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The core gameplay and features in the About section are in place, so the game is fully playable. We are looking to fix or add features and content players may find inconvenient or lacking.

There is currently a single hand-made map available, with item unlocks and map expansions up to 5 train lines and 29 surface exits, which already makes for a complex station and dozens of hours of gameplay.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No, we have no plans to change the price.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We will be looking at the Steam Discussion boards, Steam Reviews and social media to see what players think about the game, what they find most fun or where they might run into a hurdle. We will attempt to address all these before launch.”

About This Game

Have you ever been stuck in a train or subway station, crowded and congested, fighting to get on the escalator? Have you ever wandered around lost, cursing the lack of proper signage? Have you ever thought to yourself “I could design this station better”?

STATIONflow is a game about controlling the flow of thousands of passengers by building and managing an efficient underground train station.

  • Manage the flow of thousands of passengers, with different needs, stats and targets, simulated in real time.
  • Build complex, 3D layouts in a multi-layered map.
  • Place and deform corridors and structures freely, without the constraints of a grid.
  • Connect your station with stairs, escalators and elevators as efficiently as you can, but make sure everything is accessible.
  • Keep things functional and efficient: your goal is to avoid congestion and to get passengers to where they want to go as quickly and smoothly as possible.
  • Guide passengers via signage, and watch the flow of passengers change. Manipulate the path people take to avoid crowds: sometimes the shortest route is not the most efficient.
  • Satisfy your passengers’ desire for various services: place vending machines and kiosks, construct bathrooms, restaurants and more. Passengers expect more than just to find their exit on time.
  • Don’t forget about upkeeps: you’re on a budget, so keep your station lean and efficient, but make sure this isn’t at a detriment to passenger satisfaction!
  • And of course, the higher-ups are always watching: you will receive daily evaluations based on passenger feedback. Do well and you will be rewarded with an extended budget and additional construction options, but also additional responsibilities. Do poorly, and you may well be on your way to bankruptcy…
Good luck.
