About This Game

Counting cards... but not like you think.

Bad Beats is blackjack rebuilt around a constantly moving goal, whether it's 21 or 200, use maths to build your hand.

Every table has a dealer with their own rulebook, and your job is to beat them at their own game.

WHAT'S IN THE CARDS

Adventure

  • Use maths on your cards to reach higher and higher goals, while competing against the dealer.

  • A familiar roguelike system with buff mechanics focused on precision, control and survival.

  • Use Poker chips to add extra value to your cards to help you hit your target, or use item cards to manipulate the game to your advantage.

  • Battle dealers who don't play by the rules. They steal cards, rig decks and stop at nothing to get inbetween you and the goal.

  • A system that favours replayability, several unique deck types and scaling difficulty levels that shape the way your game plays.

  • Unlock new chips, buffs, dealers and table modifiers to keep the challenge fresh as you continue your runs.

Twitch plays

  • Connect your Twitch account to play a unique game mode with your Twitch chatters.

  • You're dealt a hand of cards and then given a list of goals.

  • Your Twitch chat can enter maths in chat (10 + 5 x 2)  to solve these goals and earn points on the leaderboard.

  • Use it as a way to keep them busy while you're AFK, or to pit your viewers against each other!

Custom game

  • Includes a custom game creator where you can specify rules to make it as easy or as challenging as you like.

  • We included several presets to give you inspiration, each with their own leaderboards, whether you want to play a 1 HP Ironman Run, a mode where your maths totals are hidden until you commit your play, or take it easy and play a game with a huge economy and no timer to worry about, you can pick the way you want to play.
