What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Hunter’s Arena: Legends needs time to be polished as we hope to do an official launch when we can satisfy as many players as possible. From the beginning of developing Hunter’s Arena: Legends, we aimed to establish close relationships with the community and to get quick feedback, we wanted to start Early Access as soon as possible.

In order to create a game that everyone can enjoy together, we are in dire need for player’s feedback and support.

We can propose the overall structure of the game and hope that many players participate in the process to improve Hunter’s Arena: Legends. Early Access will enable the collaboration of developers and players to achieve a successful outcome together.

During the Early Access period, we will constantly monitor issues and update the game. Small patches are expected to solve big issues that might occur while playing the game. We will do our utmost to quickly deal with the issues and inform you in advance.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Starting from July 15, 2020, Hunter’s Arena will be in Early Access for approximately 8 months.

For the sake of creating a quality final product, a long journey with the developer and the players is expected. We are aware of our shortcomings. With that in mind, we won’t force our way just to meet the deadlines. Thus, we plan to end Early Access after making up for some of the flaws, reflecting on player feedback, swiftly responding to player needs, and finally create a game that everyone will be satisfied with. We will not rush to prepone the official release date, and we will take steps with caution.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Solve top priorities + Realize our vision

Our top priority is to provide stability, quality, and completeness of the game that can satisfy our players. To achieve this, we are desperate for every single feedback. We are prepared to always respond to our players quickly.
We promise that your feedback will not be left unheard.

Afterwards, we want to achieve our vision that we have for Hunter’s Arena: Legends. To provide diverse experience to our players, we are experimenting with various game modes and polishing our characters. We are already very excited to reveal various updates and work together to exchange feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“At the start of Early Access on July, there are 12 playable characters and a total of 4 modes that players can enjoy.

  • Battle Royale Solo: 60 players fight to the death to become the sole survivor. Use your wits and skills to survive by any means necessary. There is no respawn. Once you die, it’s game over.

  • Battle Royale Trio: 3 players form a team to be the last team standing. With a total of 20 teams and limited respawn enabled, Battle Royale Trio mode will deliver a different gameplay experience.

  • Free For All: 4 players in 1 arena battle for kill points. The first person to reach a set point or has the highest points before the timer ends, wins the game.

  • Tag Match: It’s a 1 vs 1 match where skill is all that matters. Each player can choose 2 characters and switch between fights to win the match. The first person to win 2 matches out of 3 will be the victor.

Based on the number of modes and characters that we aim to achieve, we are about 60% done. However, we are still not satisfied with what we’ve made so far and will focus first on optimizing and polishing the game. The last 40% will be filled with new content and characters.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“As Hunter’s Arena: Legends develops, there’s a chance that the resource spending will increase significantly, and might result in increase in price.
If this situation occurs, we will notify beforehand so that it doesn’t lead to any confusion.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We hope as many people as possible will join us in the completion of Hunter’s Arena.
We would like to listen to your voice and share ideas together.
Our role is to propose key concepts and plans for the game, and by working together, you will play a major role in making positive changes in Hunter’s Arena.

We plan to use the Steam Discussions to gather feedback.
Please send us your feedback. We solemnly swear that we will look through each and every one of them!”

Hunter's Arena: Legends Information

About This Game

In ancient Asia, once existing peace was shattered by Demons set free by unknown power.
Sensing great danger, Hunters around the world gathered as one to stop the spreading chaos.
However, the Hunters soon found out that none other than one of their own, a Hunter, has broken the seal and released the Demons into the world.
With no one to trust, the Hunters must now fight off demons as well as point blades at each other.

Art of Timing and Decision Making

Hunter’s Arena’s combat system resembles fighting action of a martial arts film. The core gameplay centers around aerial combos against enemies and decisively countering your opponent to turn the fight around.

There are many ways to get around and stay on top of your enemies.
Use Quickstep at the right moment to bring the fight to your pace or use Martial Arts to neutralize enemy guard.

However, there are always high risks to using these abilities. Being countered while using Martial Arts could instead put you in a Groggy state and using Quickstep away from your enemies could leave you prone to enemy projectiles.

Threats of PvP and PvE

Hunter’s Arena is designed to provide a one of a kind experience in a Battle Royale. Being said, you will encounter both PvP and PvE elements in your gameplay. For fans of PvE, you will be able to explore dungeons and slay boss demons to loot rare items and grow stronger. For fans of fast paced PvP battles, you can hunt other Hunters to level up and prove yourself as the ultimate Hunter.

In Trio Mode, you will team up your friends or other players in a team of three to achieve victory. You will enter the arena in Trio to show off your teamwork or spread out to scout enemies. It all comes down to planning strategies and working as a team in Trio Mode.

Ultimately, your goal in Hunter’s Arena is to survive. Therefore, going straight into a life or death battle could not always be the best strategy. Hide in a bush and wait for the right time to ambush or Drop Strike from higher grounds to deal massive damage to unsuspecting enemies.

We look forward to your personalized strategies.

Unique Hunters with Powerful Weapons

You will be able to choose from 17 unique Hunters each time you enter the arena.
Each Hunter has a distinct combat style and is a master of Eastern swordplay and powerful spells. Try customizing your Hunter and show off your style in battle with countless weapon skins and emotes.

A Deadly Battle Towards Last Man Standing

Prove yourself as the ultimate Hunter by surviving in this treacherous world. In Hunter’s Arena, you can temporarily team up with your enemies to hunt boss demons which can soon turn into a deadly battle for rare loot. Conquer the arena to survive as the last remaining Hunter.
