What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Our number one priority, with every game we develop, is to deliver the absolute best version possible for the players. When it comes to The Coma 2, we aim to seamlessly execute the mechanics of our game's survival horror mechanics. It's also our priority to have a refined adventure story interwoven throughout that experience.

We have found that the best feedback always comes from the community. We're a small team (4 guys) and so close to the game, especially during its development, that we really don't have the same perspectives the fans bring to the table. It's a very valuable insight and we plan to leverage Early Access to best of our ability to help us make The Coma 2: Vicious Sisters the best it can be. Early Access also helps us prioritize our own deliveries while getting a clear idea of which features you enjoy most or would like to see implemented.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The Coma 2: Vicious Sisters will be part of Early Access until the end of December. The good news is that we have a very strict schedule planned for our deliverables and a clear vision of where we're taking the game. We know it's going to be completed on time, but we'd also like to give the community a window of opportunity to weigh in on shaping the final product!”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“It'll be easier to summarize what you'll get with each version of the game. Keep in mind that when we're discussing the Early Access version, that will refer to any version released from launch until the end of December. As such, you may be getting fewer or more features depending on when you jump in. The earlier you join, the more likely your feedback may be used to enhance the game.

Early Access: The launch version will contain the first 3 sections of the game with all mechanics fully implemented. A week later it will be updated with 5 sections of the game. Another week after that we will roll out the full story of the game. Expect some jankiness here or there with certain features (this may be hardware-specific). There may also be some other unforeseen bugs, typos, or broken quests. Other features may require additional polishing (whether planned or unplanned) and may look somewhat different to the final version. Additionally, some promised languages may not be fully implemented/perfected (as they will still be going through their own testing phases).

Full Launch: This version of the game will be feature complete with the story fully accessible from beginning to end (6 unique areas to explore) with 2 distinct endings. For more details on what to expect, please check the About the Game summary above.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version is a fully playable vertical slice of the game's mechanics. That being said, the story is divided across 6 distinct locations. While most of these locations have already been made, we will be releasing them week by week and using community feedback to enhance gameplay and stomp any bugs we may have missed. When we begin Early Access, you'll be able to play through the game's first 3 locations. The remaining locations will be rolled out over the next two weeks.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We want to encourage fans of The Coma to get involved with the Early Access version of the game. Especially those who wish to have a voice in the game's development over the course of the next 2 months. Since it won't launch with the full story, it will have a lower price than planned on its official launch date.

The pricing also differs from region to region (due to currency variations) so we can't really provide specific price points here.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We invite the community to actively participate in feedback as we roll out new sections of the game through each new update. Feedback can be submitted in a variety of ways: the Steam Discussions, the #feedback channel on our Discord server, and also via a Google Sheet we will have open to the community. The sheet will allow users to designate whether their feedback is a bug or QOL related item.”

Early Access Roadmap

About This Game

Mina Park, a student of Sehwa High, awakens at night in her school. It isn’t long before she realizes that something is amiss. The once-familiar school where she spends her evenings studying looks twisted by something dark and sinister. She finds herself pursued by someone or something that looks eerily like her teacher. To survive, Mina must venture beyond the boundaries of her school and into the surrounding district. There, she will encounter strange creatures, mysterious strangers, and uneasy allies.

The Coma 2: Vicious Sisters is an atmospheric, story-driven game. Immerse yourself in the warped Sehwa district as you encounter an engaging cast of characters, solve puzzles, discover revealing clues, and fight for survival against a relentless psycho.

Heroines, forced to confront their worst fears, rarely emerge unscathed. Over the course of the story, Mina will encounter dangerous scenarios from which she could sustain permanent damage. Craft items to anticipate future dangers to avoid injury.

Dark Song is now more fearsome and powerful than ever before. Falling into her grasp could spell instant death. Running and wielding your flashlight makes you an easy target. You must precariously balance the urgency of exploration with your absolute need to survive!

  • Fear Dark Song’s relentless pursuit to kill you, now with an all-new AI.
  • Craft items to prepare for critical life-or-death situations or risk permanent injury.
  • Explore the nightmarish district of Sehwa and discover its dark secrets.
  • Scavenge resources to survive deadly encounters and afflictions.
  • Unlock tools and upgrades to reach previously inaccessible areas.
  • Hide to avoid detection and certain death. Pass challenges to conceal your location.
  • Featuring vibrant, hand-illustrated in-game visuals and comic strips.
