Why Early Access?

“We chose Early Access to work closely with our community and shape the game together. Lunars is built around fast paced mini games and dynamic boards, and Early Access allows us to gather real player feedback on what is fun, what needs refinement, and where the game can grow.

Early Access also gives us the opportunity to thoroughly test multiplayer systems, balance mini games, and fine tune board events at scale. Player feedback will help inform updates, new content, and quality of life improvements, helping us deliver a more polished and enjoyable experience by full release.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect Lunars to remain in Early Access for approximately 8 to 12 months. This period allows us to gather meaningful feedback, refine gameplay balance, improve online features, and continue adding new content. The exact length may change depending on development needs and community feedback.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to expand the game with additional mini games, new boards, and possibly new game modes. The full version is also intended to include more unlockable items for character customization, further board customization options, and additional quality of life improvements, including smoother reconnection to ongoing matches in most situations.

Player feedback during Early Access will help shape updates, balance changes, and overall improvements.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version is fully playable and built on a stable foundation, with a strong set of features already in place. It currently includes four boards, around thirty mini games, board customization options, and a wide range of unlockable outfits and cosmetic items.

While we aim to ensure a stable experience, increased player participation and feedback during Early Access will help identify areas for improvement, particularly around balance, performance, and online features.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan for the game to be priced lower during Early Access. As development progresses and more content and features are added, we plan to slightly increase the price when transitioning to the full release.

This approach allows early supporters to access the game at a lower price while reflecting the expanded scope and additional content planned for the full version.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to involve the community through ongoing feedback and open discussion throughout Early Access. Player reports, suggestions, and gameplay ideas will help us identify bugs, improve balance, and refine existing content.

We also value feedback from live streams and recorded gameplay, as watching players interact with the game often highlights issues and opportunities that are not always reported directly. Our Discord community will serve as a central space where players can share feedback, discuss ideas, and interact directly with the development team.”
