Personal Rating: " Avoid - More free-to-fleece garbage"
Technical Rating: 3/10
Genre: Massively Multiplayer Online
Bringing epic heroism back into the MMO genre - blah ha ha ha ha - let me catch my breath - blah ha ha ha. A triple A-MMO experience with no cost - blah ha ha ha - let me catch my breath again - blah ha ha ha. That must be the funniest piece of garbage a publibsher has yet uttered. Seriously you guys should just take up stand-up comedy. You would think that MMO's centered around superheroes would be a playground rife with rich pickings? Sorry but the only pickings you are gonna find here are empty candy wrappers.
Champions Online fails in almost every aspect. No wonder the game went free-to-play. It's dull, it's repetitive and carries the same heroic abilities as a wet blanket. Boot the game up and already the ugly free-to-play monster rears its head. Creating a character is soul-destroying affair when you realise all the good characters with interesting powers are locked away in power packs that you must purchase. Yeah right - not a ♥♥♥♥ing chance Mr-Free-to-play.
Whilst the graphics look cool (cell shading - one of my absolute favorite styles) enter the world and you will find every heroic deed requires you to kill X amount of something or fetch Y amount of something. Lordy Lord - No thanks!
I really can't see any merrits to this game and canned it after 10hrs (I am surprised I even got that far). These kind of games are a complete blight on the gaming landscape. Avoid
