What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The literal exact same reason as every other game that has ever gone into early access: to sell the game before it is don-, no wait, to build and get feedback from a community throughout development.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“At a minimum, the career mode will need at least few year of development before it is feature complete. An additional year will be required to polish and optimize the rest of the experience.

The goal is to stay in early access for as long as possible such that the full release state of the game is in the best shape possible for reaching a broader audience.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The intention is to create better UI, more maps, more random mission types, more scripted missions, more career mode management options, better enemy AI, more mechs, more weapons, and more combat vehicles.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“There is a demo, so just experience it for yourself if you are curious enough.

The Instant Action menu allows the player to play any scripted or randomly generated mission available in the game.

The career mode allows the player to create their own mercenary company, buy and sell mechs/mech parts, hire and fire pilots, selecting and completing randomly generated contracts with randomly generated missions, salvaging mechs/mech parts from missions, and managing your companies money.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The prices are based on what markets will tolerate, and as such, the price could potentially change based on reception.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Everyone is encouraged to leave feedback either on the Steam forum or the official Discord.”

In the 24th century, humanity comes to be dominated by 3 interstellar mega-corporations after a galaxy-wide economic collapse. Humanity had enjoyed a golden age for over 250 years, where things like war, disease, and poverty were considered a relic of the past. The galaxy is now divided into major regions, the industrialized core systems controlled by the mega-corporations, and thousands of small colonies that make up the frontier. The mega-corporations use mass consumerism to keep the core systems population in check, which requires a continuous flow of resources from the frontier, which in turn creates a conflict between the corporations and colonies over the resources on the colony's planet.

Amidst the chaos on the frontier, pirate factions have arisen around organized crime, black markets, and raiding resources.
